“This is very disturbing”: Marvel Fans Can’t Believe She-Hulk Writer Took $396 For Writing One of the Best Episodes From the Show

The strike was called by the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) recently. Multiple projects of Marvel and DC have been halted. The promotion of the movies that are supposed to release this month has been stalled.
Actors, TV show hosts, voice-over artists, and other celebrities from the entertainment world have joined the strike and are coming forward with their own picket lines to show solidarity with the ongoing strike. Recently, Disney CEO Bob Iger reacted to the SAG-AFTRA strike and mentioned that the expectations of the actors and writers are not realistic with their expectations.

In order to expose the Disney CEO, Marvel’s Cody Ziglar took to Twitter and revealed the amount he was paid for writing the project. His tweet mentioned-
“The residual check from my episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was $396.”
This came after Disney CEO Bob Iger spoke in a very derogatory manner about the writer’s strike during an interview with CNBC. According to him, the SAG-AFTRA strike is adding to the problems of the entertainment industry, which is already going through a tough time.
Disney CEO Bob Iger On The SAG-AFTRA Strike
During an interview with CNBC’s David Faber, Disney CEO Bob Iger commented on the Writers Guild of America strike and the decision of the SAG-AFTRA to join them. The American media business head said-
“It’s very disturbing to me. We’ve talked about disruptive forces on this business and all the challenges we’re facing, the recovery from COVID which is ongoing, it’s not completely back. This is the worst time in the world to add to that disruption,” Iger said. “I understand any labor organization’s desire to work on behalf of its members to get the most compensation and be compensated fairly based on the value that they deliver.”
He further continued as-
We managed, as an industry, to negotiate a very good deal with the directors guild that reflects the value that the directors contribute to this great business. We wanted to do the same thing with the writers, and we’d like to do the same thing with the actors. There’s a level of expectation that they have, that is just not realistic. And they are adding to the set of the challenges that this business is already facing that is, quite frankly, very disruptive.”
The ongoing strike is supposed to halt all scripted projects and TV shows. Recently, the entire cast of Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer abruptly left the London premiere to join the SAG-AFTRA strike.
