The latest series by Marvel Studios, Hawkeye, is now streaming on Disney+ and while fans are eagerly tuning in each week for a new episode of the MCU installment, there is one Marvel star who hasn’t seen even a single episode yet. To add to the surprise, she doesn’t even know that a Hawkeye series is actually underway. While answering fan questions on her Instagram stories, Gwyneth Paltrow answered “No, what is that?” when asked by a fan if she has watched the Hawkeye series yet. This took place in the “ask me anything” questions feature on Instagram.

Gwyneth Paltrow Has No Idea About Hawkeye

Well, Gwyneth Paltrow not knowing anything about Hawkeye shouldn’t really come as a huge surprise. While Paltrow has been a crucial part of the MCU since its very inception with her role as Pepper Potts in Iron Man (2008), she has even forgotten about being in some of the films in the franchise earlier. Way back in 2019, she appeared on the premiere episode of Jon Favreau’s The Chef Show, Paltrow had no memory of appearing in Spider-Man: Homecoming, a movie where she appears at the end when Tony played by Robert Downey Jr is about to introduce Spider-Man to the whole world. However, the actress later clarified on the Jimmy Kimmel Show that she thought the film was actually an Avengers film, and easy confusion that may occur in the interconnected world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At that time, Jon Favreau also stated that even he’s not aware of what’s exactly happening in the MCU, given there are so many projects happening at the same time.

“With the Marvel things, they have so many films happening at the same time and all of them interweave with one another,” Favreau said. “Oftentimes you’re not exactly sure what’s happening, even me. I’m an executive producer on [Avengers: Endgame], I didn’t always know what was going on.”

While Gwyneth Paltrow seemed absolutely unaware of Hawkeye’s existence on Disney+, other MCU stars were not just aware but have also shown support to the series. Mark Ruffalo, who plays Hulk took to social media to celebrate the debut of Hawkeye last month, even posting a photo of Jeremy Renner alongside him, with a caption sending best wishes and love for the upcoming series.

“Sending all the love and celebration to @JeremyRenner for the premiere of #Hawkeye today ????,” Ruffalo wrote.

Hawkeye is streaming on Disney+ now.
