Daredevil: Born Again is going to bring back the gritty, street-level action that helped the Netflix show gain its popularity, and according to Vincent D’Onofrio’s Rotten Tomatoes interview, the Disney show will be much darker in some cases than the Netflix one.

Vincent D’Onofrio is back as Kingpin. Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson will return as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, and Jon Bernthal will be back as The Punisher. It is like a reunion but with some new additions of characters like Muse and White Tiger.

During the Fan Expo in Chicago, Cox shared his excitement about joining the bigger MCU storyline with No Way Home. He told Screen Rant that “being in the Spider-Man movie felt like a big step,” and then he expressed his desire to team up with Spidey once again.

The idea of Matt Murdock and Peter Parker together is just so iconic. I hope that, in the future, we get to do some more stuff together because that really is fun. That’s the main thing; just that those opportunities can arise.

This statement has sparked more excitement among fans online, and many took to their social media to even urge Marvel to make it happen.

In No Way Home, Charlie Cox‘s Matt Murdock was seen helping Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker to deal with the legal troubles he was facing after his identity got exposed. All the time, he was lawyer Murdock in front of him, but in one scene where he caught a brick effortlessly, that was thrown at Parker’s home, was the time he showed his Daredevil personality.

How Daredevil Can Fit into the Bigger MCU?

Where does Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock go after Daredevil: Born Again? The possibilities are quite endless at this point. One obvious choice is Spider-Man 4 where Daredevil and Spidey will team up to bring street-level action.

Moreover, Cox also wants to join “one particular group of people” according to Joseph Deckelmeier of Screen Rant. That group is most likely to be Avengers, as Daredevil did in the comics. Moreover, with Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars on the line, it is almost certain at this point.

Murdock might also work along with other street-level heroes, as MCU is now expanding the storylines of Moon Knight, Echo, and maybe The Punisher in the future. Daredevil can be a common thread between all these storylines.

And with Kingpin featured in Hawkeye, Echo and now Daredevil: Born Again, it might open another possibility to bring Murdock and Wilson Grant Fisk face-to-face. Kingpin is also a Spider-Man villain, which again allows the possibility of Daredevil-Spidey teaming up.

Besides, Murdock is also a lawyer, which again might lead to a She-Hulk team-up. But it might not be likely after the criticism of the show. However, working with Spider-Man is probably the most exciting collaboration among them all for fans.

Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ in March 2025.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is available to stream on Starz, DirecTV and Spectrum TV.
