MCU’s Daredevil is one of the most beloved series on Netflix. Starring Charlie Cox in the role of Matt Murdock and his alter-ego- the titular superhero, this was the first Marvel Netflix series ever made and paved the way for the show The Defenders. The masked vigilante gained more and more attention with each new season. However, much to everyone’s chagrin, it was canceled after only three seasons.

While the first season of the show, released in 2015, had an approval rating of 99%, the third and last seasons had an approval rating of 97%. Although fans loved the show, they have now found a fault in some of the episodes.

Fans Expressed Their Displeasure Regarding This One Thing about Some of Daredevil Episodes

Long before Disney+ entered the scenario of Marvel shows and took over the world with shows like Loki, Netflix was the go-to streaming service for fans of shows created by Marvel Studios. Daredevil is one of those shows that originally launched on Netflix. So, the credit for the good and the bad goes to the streaming service as much as it goes to the studios.

By this logic, fans have concluded that the yellowish filter used in some of the episodes of Daredevil is Netflix’s doing. Here is what some of the fans have to say:

There could be various reasons for the use of yellow lighting in certain scenes of some episodes of the first season of the show. One way it could be justified is the costume in which Daredevil made his comic debut. This costume had yellow tights with red gloves, boots, and chest wear unlike the maroon-red costume seen in the series. Hence, the scenes are yellowish in some episodes.

Over five years and a blip later, in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Matt Murdock’s (Charlie Cox) alter-ego donned the suit ripped right out of the comics. The reason for doing so was probably that Bullseye had stolen his suit to slander his name in the third season of the Daredevil show.

After years of deliberation, Marvel Studios announced that the fan-favorite show would return. In 2022, it was announced that an 18-episode reboot of the show would be released. The cast from the original series will be reprising their roles.

Recently, Vincent D’Onofrio has said that fans might not get the eighteen episodes guaranteed to them earlier. He told Comic Book:

“The amount of episodes keeps fluctuating, so I don’t really know the number that we’re at right now. But it seems like there are a few shows that could work with more episodes, then some that just need eight or 10 or six. Echo is like five.”

The cast of the show had previously said that it could have lasted at least two more seasons. Making 18 episodes of the first season of this new show would probably be a new feat. Even so, there would still be enough material for the making of new seasons. As of now, only time can tell the future of Daredevil: Born Again.

All three seasons of Daredevil are available for streaming on Disney+.
