“Threatened to swallow us all whole”: Prince Harry Exposes Kate Middleton’s True Feelings For Meghan Markle
Prince Harry recently mentioned an “awkward conversation” that occurred between his wife Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton in his memoir, Spare. The interaction happened in 2018, when Meghan Markle attended her first Trooping the Colour, a celebration of the Queen’s official birthday, at Buckingham Palace.
Prince Harry described the entire interaction as a “yawning silence.” The American actress was not very open with the royal family at the time, given that she only got married to Prince Harry in May 2018. As per Prince Harry, the interaction “threatened to swallow us all whole” back then.
Prince Harry talked about Meghan Markle’s interaction with Kate Middleton
In his bombshell memoir, Spare, Prince Harry talked about an interaction that took place in 2018 between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, that he described as a “yawning silence.” Back in 2018, the same year when Meghan Markle and Prince Harry got married, Meghan Markle attended her first Trooping the Colour, a celebration of the Queen’s official birthday, at Buckingham Palace. Thousands of people gather to celebrate the Queen’s birthday with parading soldiers and horses.
Kate Middleton wanted to know what does Meghan Markle think of the event
As per the memoir, Kate Middleton then turned to Meghan Markle and asked what she thought of her first Trooping the Colour event. Meghan Markle jokingly replied, “Colourful.” The joke backfired as Kate Middelton fell silent and the Duke of Sussex described the awkward moment as a “yawning silence.” He further claimed the “yawning silence threatened to swallow us all whole.”
Prince Harry’s latest memoir has caused tensions among the royal family, however, sources say that the royal family predicted all the outcomes and the stories that the royal mentioned in his memoir. UK Daily Telegraph revealed that the palace was on a “war footing” before the memoir’s release.
A fight broke out between Prince Harry and Prince William
In his memoir, the royal also talked about an alleged physical altercation between him and his brother, Prince William, over Markle, that happened in 2019. The Duke of Sussex wrote,
“He broke my necklace by grabbing me by the collar of my shirt … I fell on the dog bowl, it broke under my back and the pieces scratched me.”
The Duke of Sussex was also sent an invite to attend King Charles III’s coronation in May, however, he refused. He is willing to sit down with them and discuss things in a civilized way. The royal’s highly anticipated memoir, Spare, was released on January 10, 2023. A 416-page hardcover edition and an audiobook (on CD) are now available.
