“Next time…that’s it for me”: Tom Brady Talks About Retirement From NFL After a Heartbreaking Divorce With Gisele Bündchen
Despite Tom Brady’s decision to unretire at the start of the season, which turned his life upside down, resulting in his divorce from Gisele Bündchen, the NFL player has insisted there is no going back when he decides to hang up his cleats a second time. Earlier this year, in February, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Brady announced he would retire from the league. However, a few weeks later, the seven-time Super Bowl champion reversed his decision and returned to the league for his 23rd season.
However, his decision to un-retire turned out to be a curse that shattered his personal and professional life. According to reports, the player’s decision led to his failed marriage with Gisele Bündchen and a rough NFL season; the two often fought over it because the footballer was not spending enough time with his family. After his latest win against Arizona Cardinals, he discussed his retirement plans during the latest episode of Let’s Go! Podcast.
Tom Brady May Have Learned From His Mistake
The 45-year-old quarterback Tom Brady is considered by many to be the greatest of all time. However, Brady hinted that he is looking forward to the day when he will retire for good after returning to the NFL in April, just two months after quitting. During his weekly podcast appearance in Let’s Go! Podcast released on Monday, Brady was asked jokingly if he would retire and then unretire again as tight end Rob Gronkowski – who has retired twice from the NFL and unretired twice.
In response, Brady said,
“Well, I think next time I decide to retire, that’s it for me. So whenever that day comes, we’ll figure it out.”
He added,
“I think what I really realized last year was you got to be really sure to do that. And for me, you know, a lot of people have kind of gone through this situation… I’m going to take my time whenever that time does come.”
Following Brady’s retirement and Gisele Bündchen‘s concerns about the long-term health of Brady after playing football, speculation regarding the former couple’s marriage intensified earlier this year. Despite that, Brady and Bündchen finalized their divorce in October, ending their 13-year marriage due to the player’s return to the NFL.
Tom Brady Celebrated Christmas With His Children Belatedly
The NFL player Tom Brady and his children celebrated Christmas two days after the holiday as the kids had just returned from a trip to Brazil. Brady and Gisele Bündchen co-parent their children after their divorce in October 2022. They have a 10-year-old daughter named Vivian Lake and a 13-year-old son named Benjamin Rein. His ex-wife Bridget Moynahan and Brady share a 15-year-old son John Jack Edward.
After their parents split, Vivian and Benjamin went on vacation to Bündchen’s home country, Brazil on their first holiday as they were not together as a family. In addition to horseback riding, biking, fishing, singing karaoke, and playing with animals, the supermodel shared photos of her kids. On the other hand, Brady spent his Christmas on the field, facing the Arizona Cardinals and winning 19-16.
Brady shared pictures of his Christmas celebration with his kids on Instagram stories on Tuesday. He shared some glimpses, as the first was a Self Portrait made by Benjamin, then a beautiful picture of all three kids, then Christmas stockings on the wall, and a slogan written pair of holiday socks for Vivian. Brady seemed to have great fun with his kids after the miracle win on the Sunday game.
