How appealing it must be for a legendary comic book writer Stan Lee to have found his desired Spider-Man, who is non-other than the amazing Tom Holland.
Stan Lee’s favorite character whom he crafted with all his love and creativity, succeeded in finding his desired actor to play the web-slinger. He has created characters that can easily overpower or manipulate almost any boundary of the physical world. So, the writer was incredibly impressed by Tom Holland because he had every quality in his appearance that Stan Lee desired for his superhero.
Tom Holland is Exactly How Stan Lee Envisioned For Spider-Man
Stan Lee who is indisputably one of the most influential figures in the world of comics, did not find his journey as smooth sailing. Despite being an exceptional writer, who has crafted the amazing Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk, the Fantastic Four, and a host of other multibillion-dollar properties had troubles while publishing his idea of Spider-Man. Stan Lee wrote on his X (earlier Twitter) that:
“Never give up on your dreams! When I first wrote Spider-Man my publisher said I was crazy because people hate spiders and insects and he was not going to publish it. But I never gave up, until it was published.”
Lee mentioned how his idea of bringing out our favorite Spider-Man was trashed by the publisher which might have killed Lee’s determination to define the web-slinger. But he is STAN LEE! it’s not that easy to crush his vision especially when it’s about a superhero. The renowned writer then wrote in his X:
“I think @TomHolland1996 is a great Spider-Man. He is the exact height and age I envisioned when I first wrote Spider-Man. Spidey was never supposed to be too large. How is my friend Tom doing?”
Stan Lee revealed that Tom Holland was exactly how he envisioned his Spider-Man, and as a result, he undeniably came out to be one of the coolest superheroes and was quite busy after stepping into a world filled with supernatural powers and successfully becoming a member of the Avengers. Holland then expressed his gratitude toward the writer through his official X account for giving life to Spider-Man.

Stan Lee Never Wondered Becoming a Legendary Writer

But what if we tell you that the writer initially never wanted or desired to become a highly acclaimed writer for a living? Stan Lee revealed that his primary focus wasn’t on making a living out of his writings and comic books. According to The Guardian, the writer said:
“I’d never really thought of doing comics for a living, I read other things – novels, plays, everything. One day I heard about an opening in a publishing company. I found out the company, among other things, published comics, and that’s where the opening was. So I sort of fell into it. Comics were just another form of entertainment to me, but it got to be more and more interesting every day.”
The writer mentioned how he became fond of writing comics which eventually made him a legendary figure in the world of entertainment especially for superhero and comic book enthusiasts.
