Tom Holland is looking forward to playing the character of Shakespeare’s most famous lover Romeo, after hanging his red suit temporarily. He started his career on stage by playing the protagonist in Billy Elliot the musical. According to the reputed media outlet Variety, the Spider-Man actor would be playing the character of the iconic lover Romeo in London’s West End.
The revival of the legendary Shakespearean romantic drama Romeo and Juliet is led by Jamie Llyod. The British filmmaker is quite famous for his minimalistic approach towards his characters and it can be expected that Tom Holland’s version of Romeo would not be seen in classical attire.

Recently, Tom Holland posted a poster of his upcoming theatre project on Instagram. According to Variety, the limited series will continue for 12 weeks and the performance will begin in May 2024. However, as of now, no update has been provided on who will be playing the character of Juliet. As reported by Variety, Jamie Llyod was all praises for The Crowded Room actor, he said-
“Tom Holland is one of the greatest, most exciting young actors in the world. It is an honor to welcome him back to the West End.”

During an appearance on the Jay Shetty Podcast back in 2023, the actor spoke about his movie The Crowded Room and reflected on his experience in the entertainment industry. He said-
“Look, I really am a massive fan of making movies but I really do not like Hollywood, it is not for me. The business really scares me. I understand that I’m a part of that business, and I enjoy my kind of interactions with it… But that said, I am always looking for ways to kind of remove myself from it, to kind of just live as normal a life as possible.”
While talking about the ups and downs of being in the entertainment industry, Holland shared-
“I definitely think it has been an ongoing thought, which is don’t lose yourself. I’ve seen so many people come before me and lose themselves, and I’ve had friends that I’ve grown up with that aren’t friends of mine anymore, because they’ve lost themselves to this business.”
Tom Holland is a family man and believes that little things bring happiness. He said-
“I just am really, really keen to focus on what makes me happy, which is my family, it’s my friends. It’s my carpentry, my golf, the charity that my mom runs… That is the stuff that makes me really happy, and that’s the stuff that I should protect.”
