Venom 3: Tom Hardy Begging and then Threatening UFC President Dana White For Money is a Collab We Never Thought Was Even Possible
- In a promo for 'Venom: The Last Dance', Tom Hardy begs UFC President Dana White for money.
- White's appearance, and Hardy and Sean O'Malley's fight wins over fans.
- Given Knull’s immense power, 'Venom 3' may only introduce him and will potentially link him to future MCU.
Tom Hardy is back with the third installment of the fan-favorite anti-hero franchise Venom. Other than Spider-Man, the Venom franchise is probably the only superhero franchise of Sony that has earned some fans, although the second movie was not that well received.
However, the studio is not looking to leave any stone unturned this time, as Venom: The Last Dance is supposed to be the closure of the Venom franchise. Recently, Hardy was seen promoting the movie with none other than UFC CEO Dana White.
Tom Hardy Gets Creative With UFC
UFC has lately been pushing its promotional game, which is causing its events to break record after record. Recently, Noche UFC took place on September 15, 2024, in Las Vegas’ Sphere, which broke the ticket sales record. And with such huge popularity, the company is likely to invite promotional collaborations.
Venom: The Last Dance is heavily in discussion now, especially after the sneak peek of one of the most powerful Marvel villains, Knull, in its recent trailer. Now, to add to this, Tom Hardy collaborated with Dana White in a hilarious promo for the movie.
White and Sony shared a video on September 15 where Hardy’s character, Eddie Brock, approaches Dana to request a fight in the UFC or just get a money loan. White aggressively asks Brock to leave as Venom speaks inside his head. After getting rejected, Brock exits White’s office.
However, some noises are heard from outside, and as White opens the door, he sees Brock holding former UFC bantamweight champ Sean O’Malley in a chokehold on the ground. White throws some cash to Brock, which finally makes him leave. This unexpected yet hilarious ad has been winning over the fans on the internet.

UFC has also been approached earlier for movie promotions, the recent one being Conor McGregor and Jake Gyllenhaal’s Road House. However, Venom 3 took it to another level with its hilarious skit and believable acting from White and O’Malley as well. Hardy himself being a jiu-jitsu practitioner also fits the story pretty well.
How Knull Affects Venom: The Last Dance
It looks like Sony wanted to bring out the biggest guns, as Venom 3 is said to be the last movie of the franchise. Knull was teased in the recent trailer of the movie, and Venom looked quite scared of his creator as he closed Brock’s mouth when he uttered his name.
Knull is the ultimate creator of the symbiotes of the universe. In comics, he was born before the existence of the universe and lived in a dark world. However, with the emergence of light, he faced troubles, which brought him face to face with celestials who banished him.
Now that all symbiotes in the universe are connected through a hive mind, Knull is aware of Venom as well. But the problem lies with his powers and threat. Knull is not someone who should feature in a standalone film against a solo superhero.
However, Sony’s superhero universe, except Spider-Man, does not take place in the main MCU. It raises the question of how they are going to handle him in Venom 3. Knull is a much bigger threat than Thanos, and even the latter had enough time to build his character so that the audience could know his powers and severity.
The studio might not end his story arc with Venom 3 and might link it with the upcoming Spider-Man 4. However, even Venom and Spidey are not enough for him. Knull might also be set up as the next big bad of the MCU, after Doctor Doom. In this case, fans will have to wait a long time before they see anything new from the creator of symbiotes.
Venom: The Last Dance will be released in theaters on October 25, 2024.
