Ben Affleck and Matt Damon had been inseparable since they were kids in the 1980s in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Their creative partnership has spanned over a decade and forty years. They were extras together in the 1989 movie Field of Dreams. They also regularly traveled to New York together to audition for acting jobs. Their trust and bond were so tight that they even shared a checking account at one point.

When both Affleck and Damon hit a financial crisis, they co-wrote and co-starred opposite Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting. The emotionally hard-hitting cinematic masterpiece went on to fetch the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay, while Williams won Best Supporting Actor. They went on to appear in movie projects like Chasing Amy and Dogma and produced the HBO documentary series Project Greenlight. 

Recently, Affleck and Damon rekindled their bromance during the Golden Globes and it has fans jumping up and down in excitement all over social media.

Ben Affleck surprised his longtime friend Matt Damon at the Golden Globes and both seemed to have a fantastic time. In a viral video posted by Film Updates on X, one can notice Matt Damon sitting with his decade-long partner, Luciana Barroso, when Ben Affleck was seen approaching the couple, taking them by surprise. Both Damon and Barroso were visibly erupting in joy as they noticed him. Matt Damon gave Ben Affleck an affectionate pat on the back before the two tightly hugged.

Luciana Barroso was wearing a Versace gown that was hard to look away from. Ben Affleck matched his pal in his choice of designer and wore a Giorgio Armani tuxedo as well.

According to US Weekly, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck arrived on the red carpet separately. It has many wondering whether there is trouble brewing in paradise. Even recently, they were seen seemingly arguing in St. Barts, according to photos obtained by the Daily Mail. However, Recently, their Golden Globe appearance has set rumors on fire.

When EW pressed Lopez about why Ben Affleck was sporting such a grumpy look throughout the occasion, she reassured the press by saying,

“Ben is doing alright. You don’t need to worry about Ben, let me just tell you is good. He is happy. He is here — he is nominated. I’m chilling, I don’t understand what people are so pressed for.”

Jennifer Lopez wore a custom Nicole + Felicia ball gown with off-shoulder dramatic sleeves that were made out of rosettes. It had a sleek corseted bodice and Lopez paired it with pink and diamond jewels to complete the look. Bennifer stole the show at the Golden Globes nonetheless.

Ben Affleck’s Air was Best Picture, Musical or Comedy while Damon later presented the Best Director—Motion Picture award to Christopher Nolan for Oppenheimer.
