‘Was Pissing Myself Laughing’: Zendaya Reveals Andrew Garfield Made Fun of Tobey Maguire’s ‘Crazy Forearms’

Andrew Garfield and Zendaya recently teamed up for an interview with Variety. The two actors talked about their acting techniques and the fun they had during the production of Spider-Man: No Way Home with Tom Holland and Tobey Maguire. Here are some of the highlights:

Zendaya shared that Tom Holland was nervous about working with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire

During the interview, Zendaya revealed that Tom Holland was “so nervous” about filming with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire. “He was like, ‘I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes,'” Zendaya said. She also talked about how much fun everyone had on set apart from shooting the emotional bits. She said, “I was pissing myself laughing,” she joked. “I was dying. You guys had me dying, like crying laughing in between takes all the time.”

Andrew Garfield And Zendaya Have an Inside Joke About Tobey Maguire’s Forearms

At one point during the interview, Zendaya was trying to adjust her pants which seemed to be uncomfortable around the calves, to which Andrew Garfield said, “Pull those pants down, get those carts to get under the wraps.” This reminded Zendaya of an inside joke from the set as she added, “The crazy forearms.” “It was the Tobey one,” she said reminding Andrew Garfield about what the joke was. “He had these crazy —” Garfield begins, with Zendaya finishing it with “Forearms”. “Good joke bank you got there in that noggin of yours. That was really good.” Andrew Garfield added.

Andrew Garfield Talked About Zendaya’s Work in Euphoria

Andrew Garfield was concerned about Zendaya after watching her play Rue on Euphoria Season 2. He said, referencing episode five which focuses on Rue, “I was like, ‘Are you OK?’ How did you make sure you were OK while you were doing that?”

Zendaya then revealed that she got a lot of messages from people checking in on her, which she appreciated. She added that her “approach was to try it as human as possible without ever shying away from the devastation and the ugliness of what that can create.”
