WB-Discovery CEO David Zaslav Reportedly Saddened after Seeing Amber Heard’s Aquaman 2, Likely to Order Reshoots
Rumors suggest Amber Heard’s Aquaman 2 is to be reportedly reshot after David Zaslav expressed his honest opinions on the movie. Changing the release date multiple times on a previous note, due to several issues, Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom is finally set to release on December 20th, 2023, as per the Deadline.
Providing enough time to make the necessary changes, it has been reported, WB-Discovery CEO was displeased by the visuals. Undergoing several screen tests, James Wan’s Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom faced a lot of drama and disappointing scores. Irrespective of previous reshoots and major changes, the movie is yet again critically observed and picked at by David Zaslav.
Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom Gets A New Release Date
Sorry to disappoint, but DC fans got to reschedule their work, in order to watch Aquaman 2 in theatres, as Warner Bros prepone the release to 20th December 2023, rather than on Christmas day. Changing the release date of the highly anticipated sequel several times might seem exhausting. And to be precise, it is exhausting as the movie goes through multiple screen tests only to disappoint David Zaslov and face reshoots.
Originally scheduled to release in 2022 on Christmas day, James Wan‘s Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom suffered production delays due to COVID and backstage dramas due to Amber Heard‘s trial. However, teaming up together, the movie was rescheduled to be released on March 17th, 2023. Yet again facing issues and going through reshoots, the movie got postponed to 25th December 2023.
However, on a recent note, Deadline reported, the producers and Warner Bros shifted the release date 5 days prior, making it on 20th December 2023, amid David Zaslav’s repeated disappointment.

Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom Might Go Through Reshoots
Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom is set to release on the same day as Ghostbusters: Afterlife and the movies are likely to compete for Box Office revenue. Both movies belonging to major franchises are undoubtedly set to make a great impact on their audience. However, the Box Office dream seems a bit far-fledged for James Wan’s Aquaman 2, as the sequel reportedly disappoints WB-Discovery CEO David Zaslav during the screen test.
Although fans are beyond pumped to witness Jason Momoa, yet again as the underwater god of Atlantis, Zaslav is reportedly saddened. Even last year, David Zaslav wasn’t happy with the shots he watched of Aquaman 2, which was still under post-production. Getting terrible scores at test screenings for the past couple of times, it seems Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom is in a troublesome condition. Thus, at some point, David Zaslav is likely to call for reshoots.
