“We both have had our dark and suicidal thoughts”: Meghan Markle’s Fight Against Bullying and Harassment Inspires 38 Year Old Hilaria Baldwin
Amid the news of the widely anticipated Netflix docuseries’ release, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry received the ‘Ripple of Hope’ award from the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights foundation. The Award gala was held in New York on the 6th of December. The royal couple has repeatedly questioned and called out the racial injustice in the British royal family. Their upcoming docuseries is also predicted to contain some parts regarding their relationship with the royal family.
Among the event’s many attendees were actor Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria Baldwin. The latter took to Instagram afterwards to give a glimpse of herself attending the event for her fans and followers. In the caption, Baldwin decided to extol Meghan Markle and likened herself to the Duchess of Sussex.
The Sussexes Receive the Ripple of Hope Award
Recently on the 6th of December, the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation award gala was held in New York. It was attended by various people including Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. The objective of the award is to honor those who have shown unwavering commitment to social change.
And the Sussexes were honored with the ‘Ripple of Hope’ award. They received the award for their constant stand against racial injustices and mental health issues. On the same day, Markle and Prince Harry made a statement later saying, “a ripple of hope can turn into a wave of change”. And while receiving the award, the couple was able to make the audience laugh as they made slight jokes with each other onstage. Markle took the opportunity to say,
“We all need to, when we can, if we feel brave enough, to just speak honestly about your own experience”
Mental health as well as racism is going to be one of the main topics of discussion in their upcoming Netflix docuseries. Netflix has also released the trailer some days ago.
Hilaria Baldwin Showers Praise on Meghan Markle
In Tuesday’s Robert F. Kennedy award various famous people graced the gala with their presence. One of them included Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. In addition to the president, the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex also graced the gala and received the ‘Ripple of hope’ award. Meghan Markle briefly discussed mental health issues and addressed racial injustices. One of the attendees was yoga instructor Hilaria Baldwin. She attended the gala with her husband Alec Baldwin who was emceeing the gala.
Later after the event, the yoga instructor went on to Instagram to share pictures from the award gala. She uploaded several pictures and captioned them with praise for the royal couple writing,
“Meghan and Harry were honored and they spoke about mental health, humanity and being open… So we know that we are not alone.”
Furthermore, she also added saying, “We both have had our dark and suicidal thoughts from being picked apart”.
Hilaria Baldwin likened herself to the Duchess of Sussex. And went on to say that although their “struggles were different”, but their humanity was one and the same.
