The rival actors first encountered each at the Golden Global Ceremony in 1977. Later, during an interview with Variety, Stallone told how Schwarzenegger laughed at him when Stallone lost the award for which he was nominated. He told the press that,” from that moment even our DNA hated each other.” They both kept mocking each other in interviews, and in the press trying to pull each other to whichever extent they could.

The Rocky actor slammed Schwarzenegger for making him do a terrible movie. In an interview with Jimmy Fallon, Stallone told that the Terminator actor tricked him to do a terrible movie: Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. The Terminator actor confirmed this later in an interview with Jimmy Fallon.

Schwarzenegger said about the script of the movie,” I read the script, and it was a piece of sh*t. Let’s be honest. I say to myself, ‘I’m not going to do this movie…’ Then they went to Sly, and Sly called me (and asked), ‘have they ever talked to you about doing this movie?’ And I said, ‘yes, I was thinking about doing it. This is a brilliant idea, this movie.’ When he heard that, because he competed, he said, ‘Whatever it takes, I’ll do the movie.’ And of course, the movie went major into the toilet”

The movie was a disaster. And it’s very obvious why Stallone didn’t like him.

The Terminator actor said,” after he did the Rocky movie, he changed his body.”

As we know Rocky was a fantastically written and directed movie. The movie opened doors of success for Sylvester Stallone. The massive appearance of  Sly in the film amazed the Expendables actor and he was sort of jealous. The actor claimed that they both were north and south. But when they were cast in the same movie and explored the world together, they realized that they are very good as a team. Soon their rivalry came to an end in the 1990s. The two of them have co-starred in The Expendables 2, The Expendables 3, and the Escape Plan.
