“We’re never going to get a genuine apology”: Prince Harry Claims The Royal Family Will Never Apologize to Meghan Markle for Using Her as Scapegoat for Hatred
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have finally enlightened the world with their side of the story. The anticipated Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan unveils many instances that happened to them especially the former, that made her rather infamous in the British royal family. Markle became the major attention of all the negative articles ever since she got linked with the prince.
The Duke of Sussex after reminiscing about the past, opened up about never receiving an apology from the British royal family after what they did to his wife and him.
Prince Harry Shared He Never Received an Apology from His Family
In the anticipated Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, Prince Harry revealed the fact that the British royal family had never given a “genuine apology” to the estranged royal couple.
“I’ve had to make peace with the fact that we’re probably never going to get genuine accountability or a genuine apology,” the royal prince shared in volume 2 of the docuseries.
It’s not a secret that his wife, Meghan Markle was an American personality who faced major pressure when the British press kept on writing negatively about her.
The couple stepped down from being senior members of the royal family and then turned in their resignation the following year. He claimed that the duo experienced “institutional gaslighting” from the family which kept on when they left.
He shared,
“Everything that’s happened to us, was always going to happen to us,” adding, “because if you speak truth to power, that’s how they respond.”
It was also claimed in the docuseries that the former actress became a scapegoat for the royal family.
Meghan Markle Being The Scapegoat of The British Royal Family
In the docuseries, Markle’s friend, Lucy Fraser claimed that the American-born royal member became a scapegoat for the royal palace.
“Meg became this scapegoat for the palace. And so they would feed stories on her, whether they were true or not, to avoid other, less favorable stories being printed.”
Even the mother of two addressed the same stating,
“You would just see it play out. Like, a story about someone in the family would pop up for a minute. ‘Gotta make that go away.’”
Her attorney, Jenny Afia also commented on Markle’s relationship with the royal family, stating,
“There was a real, kind of war against Meghan, and I’ve certainly seen evidence that there was negative briefing from the palace against Harry and Meghan to suit other people’s agendas.”
Due to the constant pressure she was facing, Markle shared having suicidal thoughts which was majorly affected after she saw negative news articles being published by the media.
