“We’ve moved into a less screaming phase”: Daniel Radcliffe is Enjoying Fatherhood Despite the ‘Crazy Few Months’
The wizarding world sensation, Daniel Radcliffe, who has just entered fatherhood shares his experience with his newborn. The 33-year-old actor welcomed his bundle of joy with his partner Erin Drake on the 38th of April. Even though the couple has kept the birth of their son very low-key and under wrap, Radcliffe has recently given a glimpse into his fatherhood journey.
Daniel Radcliffe gives a glimpse into his fatherhood
Along with his wife Erin Darke, Daniel Radcliffe welcomed his son who is yet to be named on the 38th of April this year. During the pregnancy of Darke, both the husband and wife decided to keep the gender of the baby a secret, although, in a recent interview with ET Online, Radcliffe opened up about his son.
During the same interview, Daniel Radcliffe stated that this new role of a father is the “best thing” that has ever happened to him. He also stated that now they are past the screaming phase and it’s more smiles and giggling.
Talking about this Daniel Radcliffe said “He’s very cute. We’ve moved into a less screaming phase and he’s now giving us little smiles and giggling.”
He further added, “It’s been a crazy few months, as anyone who’s been through parenthood would attest.”
Despite all the sleepless nights and troubles, Radcliffe admitted that he is enjoying fatherhood.
Will fatherhood affect Daniel Radcliffe’s career?
Daniel Radcliffe also stated how fatherhood will affect his work in the coming years. The Harry Potters star was questioned if the newborn was in any way going to affect his career or upcoming project. On this Radcliffe said that nothing has been affected yet but he will surely miss him when he goes back to work after a year.
“I think it certainly will. It hasn’t affected things yet, but I enjoy spending time with him and I think I’ll miss him when I go back to work later in the year,” Radcliffe said.

Daniel Radcliffe also stated that he will never stop acting as it will not be the best thing for his child. But he prefers to take few projects in the upcoming few years as he wants to spend more time with his family. “I’ll probably work a little less over the next few years,” said Radcliffe.
Daniel Radcliffe’s reaction to the new Harry Potter series
During his interview, Daniel Radcliffe also admitted that his next project is not in any way linked to the new Harry Potter Series. As HBO has announced a 10-year agreement to re-tell the story of the wizarding world, fans have been very excited to know whether or not they will be seeing their old trio, Hermione, Harry, and Ron in the movie.
Much to the fan’s disappointment HBO has already confirmed that there will be all new characters in the upcoming series of Harry Potter. In accordance with this, even Daniel Radcliffe told Comicbook that he is not going to be a part of the series.
“My understanding is that they’re trying to very much start fresh and I’m sure whoever is making them will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere. So I’m definitely not seeking it out in any way. But I do wish them, obviously, all the luck in the world and I’m very excited to have that torch passed. But I don’t think it needs me to physically pass it” said Radcliffe
As fans awe at how wonderful Daniel Radcliffe is embracing fatherhood, they are still very sad about not seeing any of their previously loved Harry Potter stars in the upcoming series of the story.
