Grant Hughes also shared the same emotion and wrote,

“Happy 1st Anniversary, my love! What a full, beautiful, dynamic, exciting, growth-filled year we’ve had together. I truly love doing life with you! As the card I gave you this morning said: ‘There are seven billion people on this planet. You are my favourite.’”

The actress had shared earlier in the Popcrushed podcast back in April that they had put in a lot of thought before they decided to get married and even sought help from a couple’s counselor to help them make the decision, but she was assured that they were going to make it through. She said, “We’re either going to go through this thing and decide that we’re each other’s people or we’ll know we’re not and we’ll be friends.”

Sophia Bush was earlier married to co-star Chad Michael Murray from April 2005 to December 2006 before they called it quits and it was reported at the time that the actor had cheated on her with socialite Paris Hilton.

Sophia Bush crossed an ocean to come home to ‘herself’

It has been reported that weeks before the actress decided to file for divorce from Hughes, she had reflected on a journey that is described as a spiritual one as she made her stage debut in London’s 2:22 A Ghost Story.

The actress wrote,

“I can only describe the calling I felt to join the 2:22 A Ghost Story company as a spiritual one. The pull towards this story & this cast was perhaps the most intense I’ve felt in my career & the reward of being up on the boards every night was greater than I could have anticipated.”

Bush had to pull out of the show early and fly back home after she contracted the virus that was going through the company and she went ahead to describe how it felt. She wrote,

“It’s devastating to say goodbye to an experience that’s been so incredibly fulfilling, both artistically & personally. Being a part of this company put me back in my body and in my soul. I was reminded, on a cellular level, of why I do this job & how much I love acting. I crossed an ocean to come home to myself.”

Sophia Bush added, “I’m sad. Happy. Immensely grateful. There is no greater creative experience than the stage. I miss it madly. I love it deeply. I cannot wait for the next one.” The former couple has not yet commented on their spilt as of now, but these little hints have suggested that it’s done.
