The 38-year-old singer, whose real name is Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson is a hot topic ever since videos and images of her from the concert surfaced a few hours ago. She was spotted having trouble managing one of her eyes which ultimately troubled her performance.
Katy Perry Got An Eye Glitch?
During her Las Vegas residency concert, the singer, Katy Perry faced a little problem during her performance on Monday night. Many videos and photos of the event surfaced quickly after the incident happened on the Internet. In a video uploaded on TikTok, she was spotted struggling to open her right eye in the middle of the show which concerned many fans.
She wore a can-inspired silver leotard in her Vegas show when she paused in the middle from her eye twitching. From the video, it was seen that one of her eyelids appeared to be stuck, which eventually affected the singer’s right eye. She was seen taking control of her eye but it went futile as the moment she successfully opened it up, it got shut again.
Though, the singer handled the situation like a pro by briefly pausing the show and analyzing the situation. After her condition got normal again, she then continued with her show.
When the video surfaced online, a fan suggested that her sudden twitching may probably happen due to the singer’s false eyelashes that might have gotten stuck to her bottom eyelashes.
While many theories appeared on the internet, including facial paralysis, another one could highly be possible-blepharospasm. The complex term, blepharospasm simply means blinking or other eyelid movements, like twitching, that one can not control.
Usually, eyelid twitching goes away on its own. However, people with benign essential blepharospasm can develop severe and long-term eyelid twitching.
She Suffered from Wonk Eye!
The TV personality who began serving as a judge on American Idol during its sixteenth season in 2018 last year shared about her wonk’s eye while comforting a contestant.
During the show, a contestant Caleb Kennedy from South Carolina told his mentor Bobby Bones that he used to wear large headgear to hide his lazy eye. As per the contestant, he was born with a lazy eye.
To comfort the young contestant, she shared about her wonk eye stating, “I have a wonk eye as well, and I used to be worried about it.” She added, “Then a bunch of my fans created a fandom over my wonk-eye. I even have a fandom that calls itself, ‘Katy’s wonk-eye.'”
She further claimed that it was her right eye following the part that one should not worry about it and rather celebrate it.
