The publicized pair, T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach are trying their best to get a comeback on TV after leaving ABC following their publicized affair scandal. As per the reports by The New York Post, the duo is “desperately” looking to get onboard in the limelight which is why they are trying their best to woo major studios. However, their complicated situation is the major setback that is now hindering them to be associated with the networks.
As per the reports. CBS Media Ventures, the syndicate arm of CBS which is best known for shows like Dr. Phil and The Drew Barrymore Show have already passed on their talk show proposal. Not just CBS, the duo’s talent agency, CAA approached CNN regarding the same however the outcomes were negative.
“If they did a talk show, what would they talk about? What’s their expertise — infidelity?” a skeptical TV expert said, stating, “They’d take anything. I think they’d host a game show at this point.”
Their passionate romance has majorly affected their professional lives as the report shared they failed miserably to woo Fox.
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’s Left Empty-Handed After Pitching to Fox
As per the outlet, the duo even pitched to entertainment companies including Fox Entertainment and Fox Television Stations for a syndicated show. As per the source, they even went for “general meetings” with executives to discuss “various opportunities” which could mean that they were open to going beyond a dedicated talk show.
However, the meeting might not have been able to impress the executives as an insider close to the company shared, “I don’t think the talks are serious at all.”
The insider added,
“CAA set up these meetings and everybody took them. I don’t think anyone is serious. I don’t think there’s any there there.”
While they had not gotten any positive result from their bid, reports shared that the pair are continuing their job-hunting process. Last week, it was reported that the lovebirds are planning to pitch for a show like Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos’ talk show. This is because they are popular and in demand for their strong chemistry.
