The Wheel of Time season 2 is finally returning to Prime Video next month. The series was adapted for television by executive producer Rafe Judkins. Prime Video Unveils First Trailer For The Wheel Of Time Season 2
Ending the suspense for the fans, Amazon Prime Video has unveiled the first trailer for the second season of the Wheel of Time series. The trailer brings back the famous characters of the show like Moiraine Damodred, al’Lan Mandragoran, and Nynaeve al’Meara.
The first season of the popular show debuted on the OTT platform 2 years ago. The second season was originally expected to have debuted last summer but now it is finally back to entertain the fans after a long wait. The top cast of the series includes Rosamund Pike, Barney Harris, Zoe Robins, Daniel Henney, and many more.
The first season mainly covered the events of the first book, The Eye of the World, and also pulled in elements from the second book, The Great Hunt, and even a little bit from book 3, The Dragon Reborn. The ending of season 1 depicted that the Dark One was defeated, however, Lan received a warning that this victory wouldn’t be the end, as evil forces still remained hidden, biding their time for a future attack. The new trailer hints at the same theory as it shows Moiraine on a collision course with the Dark One.
The Wheel of Time Scores A Season 3 Renewal
Though the second season of The Wheel of Time has not yet premiered, Amazon Studios has already renewed it for a third season.
“I’m so thrilled that we’ll be making a third season of The Wheel of Time”, said Rafe Judkins, executive producer and showrunner of The Wheel of Time. As Prime Video is eager to bet on the show, we might see a few more seasons of the fantasy series. Rafe Judkins has previously said that he images the series lasting for eight seasons.
The Wheel of Time adapts the 14-book strong epic fantasy series by Robert Jordan, which was completed by Brandon Sanderson after Jordan’s passing in 2007. Seeing the pattern it is expected that season 3 will be getting into book 4, The Shadow Rising.
