“When his sun shines on you, you feel it”: Jennifer Garner Described Ben Affleck As A Complicated Guy, Claimed She Would Go Back And Remake The Decision To Marry Despite Cheating Scandal
Jennifer Garner has always supported her ex-partner, Ben Affleck, no matter what. In her interview with VanityFair in 2016, the actress talked about breaking up with Ben Affleck and how she moved on from the relationship. The actress also revealed that she does not regret anything. She says she would “go back and remake that decision” of marrying him. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck got married in April 2005. They share three children together, Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. The two ended their relationship in 2015 and filed for a divorce in 2018.

During the interview with VanityFair, Jennifer Garner revealed that she would marry Ben Affleck again despite rumors that he was having an with the family nanny at the time. The actress described Affleck as a “complicated” man,
“I didn’t marry the big fat movie star; I married him, and I would go back and remake that decision. I ran down the beach to him, and I would again. You can’t have these three babies and so much of what we had. He’s the love of my life. What am I going to do about that? He’s the most brilliant person in any room, the most charismatic, the most generous. He’s just a complicated guy. I always say, ‘When his sun shines on you, you feel it.’ But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow.”

The actress revealed they didn’t split because of his infidelity
Garner further revealed that their marriage wasn’t for the cameras. She explained that his cheating rumor, which Ben Affleck has always denied, came a few months after they broke up. She said,
“Let me just tell you something. We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny. She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes. It’s not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives.”
What’s next for Jennifer Garner?
She then explained how her kids are her priority and she lost the dream of dancing with Ben Affleck at their daughter’s wedding,
“It’s not Ben’s job to make me happy. The main thing is these kids—and we’re completely in line with what we hope for them. Sure, I lost the dream of dancing with my husband at my daughter’s wedding. But you should see their faces when he walks through the door. And if you see your kids love someone so purely and wholly, then you’re going to be friends with that person.”
The actress recently appeared in Netflix’s The Adam Project and is currently working on multiple projects that will be announced soon. Recently, she was spotted wearing an enormous ring while running errands with her son, Samuel. The actress began dating businessman John Miller in 2018 and they keep their relationship extremely private. Fans wonder if the two got secretly engaged.
