While Billie Eilish was in Ireland, she received flowers from rockstar Bono, and the Bad Guy singer thought those flowers weren’t from the U2 band as she believed that the band was from Scranton, Pennsylvania. This misunderstanding emerged from the love and admiration Eilish had for the TV series The Office. During an episode of the Office Ladies podcast, (via Unilad) the singer shared that:

“This last June we were in Ireland, I’m in my hotel and I get flowers delivered to my room and it has this little letter on it and it’s this really sweet letter and it says ‘from Bono’. And I was like, ‘why would Bono, who’s from Scranton, why would he send me something in Ireland? What does this have to do with him?”

Billie Eilish revealed that her misunderstanding is rooted in an episode of The Office, in which Michael Scott says that the band U2 is from Scranton. However, due to her young age, the Ocean Eyes star couldn’t catch the humor and believed Michael Scott from the show. The “welcome to my hometown” note confused the singer even more, but eventually, Billie Eilish found the truth and it became a major shocker for her. The singer humorously opened up about it during the show.
