Halle Bailey is in the media after the release of her new movie The Little Mermaid. The 23-year-old actress is thriving in her role in the live-action movie. Bailey entered the entertainment industry when she was only three years old and rose to fame after her collab with her sister. 

While the actress is making headlines, she also caught the attention of the media for her personal life. The Little Mermaid star is dating Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., popularly known as DDG. The two met because of their respective careers. Bailey had been a big fan of the YouTuber and rapper for a very long time before he slid into her DMs.

The Moonwalking in Calabasas star and the Grown-ish alum initially ignited dating rumors in January 2022 when they were pictured together during Usher’s Las Vegas residency. DDG officially announced their romance on Instagram almost two months later. Later in June, at the BET Awards, the Grammy nominee and the rapper made their red-carpet debut.

The  Color Purple actress rose to fame because of Chloe x Halle. She started her acting career with the movie named Last Holiday. She was also connected to TV shows like Austin & Ally, Grown-ish, House of Payne, and Let It Shine.

The singer siblings have released more than 12 music videos including Who Knew, Grown, Drop, Warrior, Fall, and All Night. The sister’s album named The Kids Are Alright went on to reach #19 on the US R&B chart. The Bailey sisters have been nominated five times for the Grammy. 

In 2019, the 23-year-old actress got the role of Ariel in the Disney film The Little Mermaid. She is also featured in the upcoming 2023 film The Colour Purple.
