Recently, Matt Damon mentioned that this year marked the 20th year since he met his wife Luciana Barroso. the actor shared this while promoting his latest movie Air on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The couple met back in 2003 when Damon had been filming Stuck on You in Miami. While grabbing a meal, his attention was caught by the waitress. And it was none other than his current wife Luciana Barroso.
At the time she already had a daughter named Lucy from her previous marriage. And according to Barroso as per Vogue Australia, her being a mother was what attracted Damon to her. Furthermore, she also shared that their chemistry was natural and instant.
It did not take long for them to start a conversation and a very comfortable one. As for her impression, Barroso liked the actor and developed a connection with him. instantly. She said,
“All the other stuff — the movie-star part — wasn’t a factor,”
The two hit it off with each other easily and tied the knot two years later in New York City. The ceremony had been a private one. Since then they have never looked back and their relationship has stayed strong through the years. The pair share three daughters, Isabella, Via, and Stella. Along with the three Barroso’s daughter Lucy also make up the family.
