As Meta (formerly Facebook) recently discontinued its Facebook Watch streaming service, shows such as the Red Table Talk has also been canceled.

Following the announcement, the show’s host Jada Pinkett Smith has addressed the future of her show and whether viewers will get to see more of the show or not. Smith took to her Instagram and expressed her disappointment at the news recently.

But at the same time, the Girls Trip actor also seems to suggest that she is not done with her show yet. And as far as it is concerned, she might continue with the show once a suitable streaming platform comes her way.

Jada Pinkett Smith’s Response to News of Red Table Talk’s Cancellation

Now that Facebook Watch (Meta’s streaming platform) has been discontinued, its shows have been canceled as a consequence. One of the shows on the platform was Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk. Therefore following the cancellation of her show, the actress took to her Instagram to address the whole thing. She wrote

so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch and we are sorry to see the entire team disband”

Furthermore, Smith also added that the show was going to find a new home sooner or later. This seems to suggest that she is not yet down with her informative show. A “new home” means a new streaming platform for the Red Table Talk show.

In addition to her recent Instagram post, her earlier interview with the Rolling Stones also seems to suggest the same. Smith revealed her love for the show and how it had an impact on black Women and society perceived them.

According to her, the show with its mostly-black women guests worked to erase the incorrect view about them. Therefore despite the discontinuation of  Facebook Watch, Smith’s wish to expand the show further seems to be the same.
