Previously, it was reported that Feige was persuading Disney for more R-rated movies. But the titan production house drew the line at Deadpool 3. Sources have claimed that Kevin Feige has been working on a Wolverine movie since 2019. And if we were to expect something, then a 2024 release sounds the best. See, it’s no doubt that the mutants are coming to the MCU, all thanks to Ryan Reynold’s Deadpool’s team up with Taika Waititi’s Korg.

For me, personally, the relationship between Marvel and Disney is really rocky. The reason for that is the ongoing lawsuit between Scarlet Johansson and Disney. Feige has clearly taken Black Widow’s side in this. Now, if Disney is not willing to go for Feige’s original plan for an R-rated Wolverine movie, then the relationship might get severed even further.

But the real question is – Who will play Wolverine? For 17 years, Hugh Jackman has led on a legacy before stepping down in 2017. The world cannot and doesn’t want to imagine anyone as Wolverine other than Jackman. But the actor has been vocal about the fact that his days as Logan are over and he rejoices his time as the X-Men. So, the biggest responsibility for Feige, apart from working on the movie, is to find the right actor to play Logan.
