When it comes to Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, everything is about chocolate. There is no lack of sweetness in the world of the eccentric chocolatier. So, the upcoming Paul King-directed Wonka starring Timothee Chalamet is sure as chocolaty and sweet as could be expected from this fantasy story.

Confirming this, King recently revealed the amount of real chocolate they had to deal with on the set. And how the best part about it whole thing was that all the confectionaries made on the set were as delicious as they looked.

Timothee Chalamet Had to Get Into A Vat of Chocolate On The Set Of Wonk

Recently, Paul King who directed the upcoming Wonka revealed the on-set scenario of the film which undoubtedly had tons of chocolate all around. According to King, the studio hired a real chocolatier to make all the confectionaries on the set.

And along with the actors, he also got to taste the delicious sweetness that was all around during the filming.

The director opened up with People magazine explaining the huge amount of chocolate he consumed saying,

“I think I’ve [gained] about 50 pounds, but I hope I can lose it before [the movie] comes out,”

However at the same time, all that chocolate according to him had no visible effect on Timothee  Chalamet who plays the titular character. Furthermore the same line of thought, King also shared about a scene where Chalamet’s Willy Wonka and Calah Lane’s Noodle get immersed

in this huge vat of chocolate.”

All this behind-the-scenes revelation just goes on to show how much the prequel for Roal Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory involves sweet and scrumptious chocolates and candies both in real and reel life.

Paul King directed Wonka an upcoming film that is a prequel to Roald Dahl’s book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The plot for the film will revolve around a young Willy Wonka played by Timothee Chalamet and his earliest journey. It will include his first encounter with the Oompa-Loompas.

According to the director, Chalamet pulled out his 100 percent for the character as he had been rehearsing for months. Moreover, the likeness of personality aspects between the Dune star and the version of the titular chocolatier seems to have helped bring out the essence of the character perfectly on the screen.
