“Wouldn’t Aquaman want more water?”: Fans Troll Jason Momoa after WB Scrapped His 50 Page Script on Melting Ice Caps
Jason Momoa widely loved for his DCU superhero character, Arthur Curry a.k.a Aquaman, is currently awaiting his second installment of the franchise. Undergoing the final stage of production, Momoa previously revealed his excitement over co-writing a 50-page script for Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom. However, to his surprise, Warner Bros reportedly scrapped the script for good.

Reporting to Variety at Sundance, Jason Momoa spoke about the first story treatment for the upcoming Warner Bros. and DC sequel of 2018 Aquaman. However, in another interview with Men’s Health, the actor mentioned how WB ended up shelving the script during production. Amid facing negligence over his 50-page script on melting ice caps, Momoa also faced severe trolling on Twitter.
Jason Momoa’s 50 Page Script For Aquaman 2
Currently awaiting the sequel to the Aquaman franchise, Jason Momoa expressed his excitement about writing a 50-page script for the second installment. Appearing for an interview with Variety during Sundance, the actor revealed his co-written story treatment for Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom. Trying to address the issue of global warming via his movie, the actor tried including it in the script.

“The beautiful thing [about ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’] is me and my partner wrote the first treatment for it and it was about a 50-page treatment, and a lot of it has to deal with me talking to the U.N. about what’s happening with the melting ice caps,” Jason Momoa admitted.
Expressing his concern over the gradual climate change and melting ice caps, Momoa tried sending a message out through his movie. “There’s no far-off galaxy coming to destroy us or aliens from another place. It’s us ruining our planet. We need to get it together and save our home.” the actor stated.

However, recently during another interview with Men’s Health, the Dune actor stated how his script ended up getting shelved by Warner Bros. Referring to the turbulence of directors and producers having different opinions, Momoa expressed “Warner Bros. bought (the script) but did not follow completely.” Bugged by his script getting neglected by the studio, Momoa is waiting for the debut of the sequel.
Fans Troll Jason Momoa Over His Script
Although Jason Momoa’s lecture about climate change and melting ice caps was removed from the movie, the actor claimed to be “extremely, extremely excited” for his future with DC. Despite claiming, “a lot of badass sh*t coming up” Momoa didn’t hide his frustration over Warner Bros’ decision of scrapping his script.

However, amid all the controversies and people being infuriated at Warner Bros for re-casting Amber Heard as Mera, fans still seem to stand by the studio in this matter. Trolling the actor for his unnecessary and forced lecture over climate change, netizens gather on Twitter to support Warner Bros’ decision.
Lectures about climate change always do well at the box office.
