A lot is going on for the MCU superhero Spider-Man. There are various future projects for the character along with the upcoming animated sequel of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Whether it be live-action or animation, the studio is spending a good chunk of its time and effort on the web-slinger and even characters related to it.

Furthermore, although fans would have liked to watch Tom Holland’s Spiderman back in the theaters soon, the ongoing Writer’s Strike in the film /show industry has undoubtedly halted the project as of currently. Therefore unless and until things get back to normal, the project this going to take more time than before.

MCU’s Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland On Hold Due To Writer’s Strike

Many upcoming shows and series have been forced to halt their production works since the Writer’s Strike began this year in May. Every studio has been going through a shortage of scriptwriters which is one of the most important aspects of production work.

Recently it came to light that MCU’s upcoming fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland and Zendaya (Mary Jane) has suffered the same fate as many other shows and movies that were in the making. Producer Amy Pascal recently shared with Variety confirming the fourth installment. She said,

“We’re in the process, but the writers strike, nobody is working during the strike.”

Pascal did mention that her team was supportive of the strike and its causes even though it kept the production on hold. The Writer’s Guild of America’s or the WGA strike began in May this year and it is the first one in 15 years, the last one happened back in 2008.

The WGA and its employer Alliance of the Motion Picture and Television Producers have not been able to reach a good agreement with a lot of demands by the former being overlooked.

And as of now, the studio is gearing up for the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

And apart from that a lot of future projects concerning the web-slinger hero are in the talks. First off the third installment of the Miles Morales Spider-Man animation has already been confirmed.

Moreover, this character will also be getting a live-action version in the future according to the producers. Additionally, fans will get to watch a whole new character of Spider-Woman in the future.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will hit the theatres on June 2nd this year.
