X-Men Who Are Stronger Than the Hulk
Hulk (Bruce Banner) is one of the most powerful characters in the Marvel Universe, and he truly distinguishes the Avengers from any other squad. When the Avengers get into tricky circumstances, the recurring joke in the MCU is “Yes, but we have a Hulk.” When teamed with the complete X-Men squad, though, Hulk’s abilities may dwindle.
Hundreds of X-Men team members have appeared in comic books, TV series, and films throughout the years. Unfortunately, we can’t compare every X-Men member to Hulk in this post, but here are a few who could beat the green beast in an arm wrestle.
Storm
Storm is widely regarded as one of the most powerful X-Men mutants, and she is renowned for her unrivaled brilliance. When Hulk is furious, he makes foolish judgments, and Storm might easily exploit this weakness. She can manipulate elements in the atmosphere as well as ride the waves of lightning and winds.
Hulk is mostly a hand-to-hand combatant, and he could have a chance against her if he ever got near enough. Storm, on the other hand, may have the upper hand because she can attack from a distance.
Armor
Hisako Ichiki, Armor, has the capacity to create psionic body armor that offers superhuman strength and durability. With Bruce Banner’s vulnerabilities, if Hisako is unable to morph into her super body armor, she will be defeated quickly by the Hulk (assuming Bruce Banner transforms.)
As shown in Astonishing X-Men (vol. 3) #20, the two work well together, and Armor is a wonderful comic hero.
Thunderbird
Thunderbird was tragically slain in X-Men (vol. 1) #95 (1975), but if he were still alive today, he would represent a formidable challenge to Hulk. While we may never know how far Banner’s talents can be pushed due to his tragic demise, a match-up with The Hulk might test Banner’s resolve.
Thunderbird, with his heightened speed and strength, as well as a history in military training, may have the proper combination of ability and power to defeat the Green Goliath.
Bishop
Bishop would undoubtedly lose a stone-cold hand-to-hand combat bout against Hulk. But what distinguishes Bishop from Hulk is his ability to gather various types of energy (light, heat, electricity, etc.) and transform them into a much higher power.
If Bishop could fully realize his potential, he would undoubtedly defeat Hulk by turning his own power against him.
Juggernaut
Juggernaut and the Hulk have clashed several times in Marvel Comics. Juggernaut’s most recent debut in Deadpool 2 piqued readers’ interest since his participation in the X-Men comics is everything from trivial. He possesses virtually limitless strength and has been depicted in the comics shattering whole mountains.
Of course, the Hulk would be the crowd favorite in this clash, but the Unstoppable Juggernaut has more than held his own when going toe-to-toe with the Avenger.
Phoenix
Phoenix, Jean Grey, is one of the most powerful creatures in the MCU, and she would certainly destroy the Hulk if they met. She’s been spotted defeating some of the most powerful mutants in the X-Men universe. She is not only capable of controlling matter and energy, but she is also capable of operating at a far higher and stronger level.
Overall, the Hulk is powerful, but he can’t compete with Jean Grey’s ability to perform miracles in a matter of seconds.
