“You better be on your best behavior”: Hugh Jackman’s Feud With Ryan Reynolds Reportedly Started Because of Scarlett Johansson, ‘Wolverine’ Star Was Extremely Unhappy With Their Divorce
We are getting a third Deadpool film and everyone is pretty excited. Ryan Reynolds announced the third part of the franchise via a YouTube video with a short and witty monologue only to give fans the biggest surprise in the most subtle way: Wolverine will be a part of the movie that will be releasing on 8th November 2024.
Reynolds and Jackman have had a fun bond over the years, and many pictures are a testament to it. However, joke as they will, their friendship did begin with a pretty serious warning.
Ryan Reynolds vs Hugh Jackman originated on the sets of X-Men Origins: Wolverine
The Definitely, Maybe actor has one of the most fun social media presences in all of Hollywood, he never stops roasting the people he especially loves, and Hugh Jackman has never shied once from quipping just as witty retorts to continue the so-called feud between the two actors. They are always at each other’s case, joking, poking, getting thrills out of it and no one is happier for it than the fans, who have had many laughs over their back-and-forth.
The two have also pretended to maintain a consistent quarrel for which they claim to have forgotten the origin. They just carry it on for amusement. However, now the opening chapters of this saga have been leaked and the origin was at the sets of the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
How Wolverine tried giving Deadpool a scare
Back in April this year, The Greatest Showman actor gave an interview where he discussed the friendly “feud” and how it all started. The reason behind this Wolverine vs Deadpool bicker is quite shocking too – Black Widow.
The funny tension dates back to the sets of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, where the two actors met. In 2008, Ryan Reynolds had gotten married to Scarlett Johansson who was a good friend of Jackman. So when Reynolds came to the set, Jackman rang a warning in his ears: “Hey, you better be on your best behavior here, pal, because I’m watching.”
Eventually, Reynolds and Johansson got a divorce in 2011, and over the years, he and The Prestige actor became the best of friends, and the rest is history.
