Tom Brady has been in conversation since the former NFL player separated from model Gisele Bündchen. The couple took the decision after Brady canceled his retirement, only to retire again after his divorce in early 2023. Since his retirement, he has been working on a podcast with Larry Fitzgerald Jr. and Jim Gray. Brady earlier shared his gratitude to Boston Firemen after the horrific Back Bay fire. He said that seeing the incident up close made him realize “who the real heroes are in this world.”

However, during a recent episode of his podcast, Brady stir up controversy after he made a statement about football and the military. People found the statement offensive and started bashing Brady on social media. After this, the sports star has now apologized for his statement and said that he does not want to expand the issue anymore.
Tom Brady Compares Football With Military
During a recent episode of his podcast Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray, the 45-year-old sports star said some controversial words. Talking about balancing his professional and personal life, he compared preparing for a football season with military deployment. He said,

“I almost look at like a football season like you’re going away on deployment in the military, and it’s like, man, here I go again.”
He further talked about the struggles of being on the field. Brady also mentioned that he tries to ignore the online conversation about him as much as possible, as people do not have an idea about what is actually happening. However, he was unable to ignore the backlash his statement received, leading him to make a public apology for comparing two different things.

Tom Brady Apologized For His Controversial Statement
Tom Brady addressed his controversial statement during a press conference on Thursday. Before starting the conference, he took a minute to apologize for his behavior. “Before we start, could I say one thing?” Brady said. He further stated that comparing football with the military “was a very poor choice of words.”

“I just have a tremendous amount of gratitude for everyone who’s served. And in the end, we play a game, and the military is defending our country.”
The star player apologized to everyone who was hurt by his statement. When he was asked what he really meant to say with his initial statement, he denied commenting on it any further. “To be honest, I don’t really want to expand on it too much,” Brady said. He also mentioned that the military and football are two different things, and he shouldn’t have compared them.
