One of these relationships was with the Marvel star Chloe Bennet, whom he began dating in 2017. Months into dating, Bennett warned the WWE wrestler that things were going to take a turn for the worse.
As many might remember, the first day of the year in 2018 turned out to be straight out of a nightmare. All of the goodwill Paul had made went down the drain because of one single video. This was the video he had posted on his YouTube channel vlogging his visit to Japan’s sacred Aokigahara forest. What might seem uncanny about this is that he had been warned.

Logan Paul first gained popularity over a decade ago when he began posting sketches on the now-defunct video-sharing platform Vine. He moved to YouTube soon and began posting regularly once Vine was closed down. In 2015, he started a new YouTube channel, and now, it is one of the most subscribed ones on the platform.
This is not to say that it has been a walk through the park for him. At the beginning of 2018, he made a mistake or two that could have ended his vlogging career for good. To begin with, during his trip to Japan in December 2017, his vlogs showed him to be somewhat disrespectful of the country’s culture.
It only became worse when he posted a video of his New Year’s Eve excursion to the Aokigahara forests, which is infamous as a suicide site. His on-again, off-again girlfriend Chloe Bennet was also supposed to accompany him and his friends on the trip to Japan.
However, a week before the trip, the couple had a fight over which hotel they would stay in. The disagreement led to Bennet refusing to go to Japan. As Paul recalled, she also predicted something ominous.
She’s like, ‘Yo, this behavior is going to bite you in the ass. I don’t know how, I don’t know when, but you’re going to crash and burn.‘
The warning was obviously not paid any attention. The backlash was so huge and the impact on his career so great that he had to lay low for more than half a year.
Chloe Bennet Defended Her Relationship with Jake Paul Before Their Split
Fame is a tricky thing, a double-edged sword. Paul’s actions were undoubtedly going to affect his then-girlfriend Bennet as well. However, she took it in stride and even defended their relationship on the internet (via X) instead of cutting her ties with him.
The Bizaardvark actor also took to Instagram (via People) to express his gratitude for Bennet standing by his side even in his difficult time. Unfortunately, the relationship came to an end in September 2018 as confirmed by some sources to JustJared.com. Paul has since apologized for his actions and rebuilt his reputation as a social media influencer.
