Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are among some of the biggest stars of Hollywood. The couple got married in 2012 and has a beautiful family with three daughters and a fourth child on the way. Blake Lively shared the news of their fourth child in September this year. The Deadpool star is excited to welcome his next child and wishes to have another daughter, as he loves being a ‘girl dad.‘ The couple prefers to keep their children out of the public eye. However, they never hesitate to share their parenting experience. And being a Hollywood star doesn’t make it easy to look after their children.
Ryan Reynolds is Careful With Words Around his Daughters
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively follow a set of rules to take care of their children. The couple loves parenthood and is expecting their fourth child. They divide up their schedule to take care of their children. The Gossip Girl star shared in one of her interviews that she and her husband have given up a lot of things for their family.
I admire people who find that what fulfills them is their art or their work, but what fulfills both me and my husband is our family. Knowing that, everything else comes second.”
However, the couple, especially the Deadpool star, is careful with the words he uses around his daughters. Lively shared that once they joked about how their daughter is bossy. However, Ryan Reynolds was not too happy to describe his daughter as bossy.
“We’ve joked that my daughter is bossy. But my husband said, ‘I don’t ever want to use that word again. You’ve never heard a man called bossy,” the Green Lantern star explained. She further said that he is against using ‘any negative connotation’ to describe their daughters’ behavior.
The Red Notice star also tries to be gender neutral, when it comes to the use of ‘he‘ and ‘she‘. “So [Ryan will] pick up, like a caterpillar, and instead of saying, ‘What’s his name?’ he’ll say, ‘What’s her name?'” Blake Lively explained during her interview with Glamour.
Ryan Reynolds is Proud to be a Father of Three Daughters
Ryan Reynolds has always shared that he is proud to be a father and is grateful for having three beautiful and adorable daughters. However, the actor once shared that he “never in a million years would have imagined” that he would be raising three girls.
The Free Guy star comes from a family of all boys and shared how he grew up with his three brothers. He shared during an interview, “I come from all boys. I have three older brothers. I’m the youngest of four boys, so for me to have three daughters has been such a ride.”
He also shared that he loves being a girl dad. Sharing his secret to parenting, he said that it is simple and effective. The Spirited star shared that he and his wife try their best to be there when their daughters need them. He said that whenever either of them goes out for a film shoot the whole family travels with them. This allows them to spend as much time together as possible.
