Maggie Keating entered the modeling business through her love for fashion and photography. She is a native of Maine, though she shifted to New York to carry forward her modeling life. Instagram became her portfolio, where she currently has more than 106K followers who appreciate her modeling images and her photography as well.
In 2018, Keating took a big leap and auditioned for America’s Next Top Model Season 24. But her exposure on the show could not last long. In the second episode, she was eliminated after a challenging pregnancy photoshoot. It was shown that her “white homegirl” persona did not translate well with the judges.
In an interview with VH1, she agreed that her “homegirl piece backfired,” and when asked whether she felt she had beef with the judges, Keating said,
I came into it thinking I was a certain way, and then you guys didn’t see that about me with being really laid back and cool and just being me. But then I was seen as kind of not fake but trying too hard to be a certain way when I really didn’t think that’s how it was coming across, so I was like hitting a barrier.
However, after the show, Keating’s modeling career continued to thrive. She signed with EMG Models Los Angeles and modeled for several magazines like B-Authentique. Her Instagram shows her modeling work and campaigns for brands like Levi’s, Michael G. Simpson, and Alex Mika Jewelry. She even featured in Drake Bell’s Run Away music video and was also Maxim’s Influencer of the Week in February 2021.
Zachary Levi and Maggie Keating Are Expecting Their First Baby
Zachary Levi recently shared a picture of a sonogram on Instagram, announcing that he is expecting his first baby with Maggie Keating. The actor wrote an emotional note about wanting to be a father and how personal development made him ready for this new role. He wrote,
I’ve wanted to be a dad since I was literally a kid. I’ve always felt that call on my life. This desire in my heart. A strange feeling of incompleteness by not having that level of love and responsibility in my journey. That the best years of my life would be on the other side of finally being a father.
Levi said that last November, he “started to make some shifts” in his life “physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.” His personal growth and journey of self-discovery brought him to Keating, whom he called a “brilliant, honest, grounded, and deep love.”
Talking about name suggestions for the baby, Levi wrote in his own humorous way, “Keep ‘em original, but not TOO original. We don’t need them being bullied more than their theater-nerd father.”
The timeline of the couple’s relationship is still not confirmed. However, Levi’s words suggest they met sometime in 2023. Levi and Keating are not willing to reveal their baby’s gender before its birth.
