Taylor Swift has yet to make her debut as a superhero, but chances are that fans might not have to wait much longer since her name actively comes up now and then. That being said, the role she will be taking up might end up disappointing fans.

Swift might be one of the biggest pop icons in the industry, but she is no stranger to the acting industry. Besides her musician and supermodel pals, she is also friends with some of the best actors and directors.

Even so, she is yet to have a big break as an actress, and her MCU debut might help change that. Currently, she is rumored to be playing Blonde Phantom. However, fans are not happy with this as they have some other actresses in mind to play this particular role.

Taylor Swift has starred in supporting roles in movies like the romcom Valentine’s Day, the musical film Cats, and the mystery comedy thriller Amsterdam. Besides this, she also made her filmmaking debut and appeared in All Too Well: The Short Film, released in 2021.

According to industry insider Daniel RPK, Swift recently met Marvel CEO Kevin Feige and discussed her debut in the franchise. As per reports, they discussed several characters and one of them was Blonde Phantom. This implies that instead of having a one-off appearance, she might debut as the Marvel character Blonde Phantom and get an entire Disney+ series.

There have been talks about this series for a while now and not so long ago, Henry Hards from Giant Freakin Robot reported that Scarlett Johansson is in talks of turning The Blonde Phantom into a Disney+ series for Marvel.

On the other hand, Swift was rumored to be joining the franchise as Dazzler last year when she was spotted hanging out with Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Shawn Levy. Many had assumed that she would make her first appearance in the threequel Deadpool and Wolverine.

For those unversed, Blonde Phantom (Louise Grant) is a character that was introduced in the 1940s when Marvel Comics was known as Timely Comics. She is the secretary of the Mark Mason Detective Agency and moonlights as a masked vigilante under her boss’s nose.

Decades later, she made a comeback in 1989’s The Sensational She-Hulk comics as the friend and colleague of Jennifer Walters. The comics revealed that Louise had retired from crime-fighting, married Mark Mason, and worked as a legal secretary following his demise.

One of the primary characteristics of this character is that she is blonde; as are Taylor Swift, Margot Robbie, and Sydney Sweeney. However, that can’t be the criteria based on which an actress will end up playing a character in the MCU of all franchises.

Fans believe that Swift is best suited for Dazzler and Robbie and Sweeney can play Louise better. Here is what some of them had to say:

Robbie has previously played Harley Quinn in The Suicide Squad, which was received well. However, Sydney’s debut in the supergenre with Madame Web did not go too well. There is no telling what Marvel is actually planning to do since all of these are mere rumors, and the official announcement is yet to be made.
