2010s was quite a unique and outstanding year, at least for the films. We saw a famous ballet be a psychological thriller, an amazing superhero movie and even a courtroom drama about Facebook.
And now it’s been a decade since then and some of the movies released back then are now considered classics.
While Pixar was doing their best to capitalize on their hit franchise, Jennifer Lawrence was making her mark in the industry.

1. The Book Of Eli – Available on Max Go

The film didn’t initially amaze the critics or the audiences when it was released but after 11 years, the movie has gotten an immense fan following worldwide. It has become a classic just like Tron and it took the film some while to find correct audiences.
The film revolves around Eli who attempts to restore mankind to a barren wasteland.

2. Inception – Available on Netflix

Inception is a complicated action movie which bends time in the most creative way; and we do not expect anything less from a Christopher Nolan masterpiece.
Inception has become one of the most talked films because of the ambiguous ending that left audiences confused… and probably some are still figuring it out.
The movie revolves around Cobb who steals information from his targets by entering their dreams.

3. Black Swan – Available on Hulu

According to the director Darren Aronofsky, Black Swan is actually a companion piece to The Wrestler and the movie stands out as a trailblazer compared to the 2008 movie. Aronofsky was able to turn the well known ballet Swan Lake into a stunning arthouse thriller.
No one expected it to be a hit but it grossed more than $300 million when the budget was just $13 million.

4. The Social Network- Available on Amazon Prime

A movie about bunch of people arguing on who invented Facebook sounds boring right? But not when the screenplay is written by The Aaron Sorkin and you have David Fincher directing it.
The film tackled the problems with social media and even showcased why it was important to Mark Zuckerberg to create Facebook. The Social Network came around 11 years ago and privacy is still a concern to the social networking platform. Movie seems to be still relevant to this date.

5. Winter’s Bone- Available on Showtime

Winter’s Bone was Jennifer Lawrence’s breakthrough movie as it was such an amazingly strong performance from her considering she was so young back then.
The movie revolves around 17 year old Ree who looks after her family and teaches her siblings to hunt and cook. The movie has a strong narration and is an unforgettable thriller.

6. The Fighter – Available On Fubo

David O’Russell loves Raging Bull and went on to make his own boxing movie. Both movies are about brothers who make up coach-boxer duos and based on true stories.
The Fighters hasn’t reached Raging Bull’s level yet, but it is one of the most powerful sports movies out there with some incredible performances from Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg
