$238M DC Movie Threatens Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Life After He Used Dangerous Accessories for George Clooney’s Movie
Arnold Schwarzenegger a legendary actor in the world of entertainment has captivated the audience for decades. However, one of his DC movies almost threatened his life in the worst way possible.
Arnold Schwarzenegger had an incredibly awful experience while filming his infamous movie Batman and Robin when he was wearing the costume of his character Mr. Freeze and it almost became deadly as the battery’s acid broke down into his mouth. The batteries were placed in Schwarzenegger’s mouth for a better look at his character but unfortunately gave him an unpleasant experience that resulted in a problem.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Life Was in Danger After Battery Acid Leaked Into His Mouth
Despite its star-studded cast, Batman and Robin was a box office flop featuring George Clooney as Batman, Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze, and other talented actors. However, fans did enjoy Schwarzenegger’s Mr. Freeze which could have severely messed with the actor.
While the Predator star was filming for the movie, lights were placed inside the actor’s mouth for an appealing look, but the acid from its batteries leaked into his mouth resulting in discomfort. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a makeup artist explained:
“When you put it in Arnold’s mouth, Arnold’s saliva would creep into the seams of this thing and attack the batteries. The batteries would immediately start disintegrating and start putting out battery acid into Arnold’s mouth.”
Explained that Schwarzenegger was shouting and said: “It tastes like shit! What’s in my mouth?” expressing the discomfort and awful experience he had when those batteries’ acid broke into his mouth due to his saliva whose prosthetic makeup and wardrobe took hours.
Arnold Schwarzenegger Doesn’t Regret His Role in Batman and Robin
Despite its harsh reception, action star Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed that he didn’t regret making and starring in Batman and Robin which is also labeled as one of the worst superhero movies. One reason behind the movie’s loss could be the time when it was released as superhero films weren’t too much lauded by the audience.
The Pumping Iron actor and former California governor claimed that his role in Batman and Robin was quite interesting to him. During an interview in a week’s edition of Empire, (via Digital Spy) the actor mentioned: “In most cases, I don’t regret the movies that failed or were not as good. It’s always easy to be smug in hindsight, right?” and added:
“I don’t regret it at all. I felt that the character was interesting and two movies before that one Joel Schumacher was at his height. So the decision-making process was not off. At the same time, I was doing Eraser over there and Warner Bros begged me to do the movie.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger is a legendary figure in the film industry who’s especially praised for his performance in action-packed movies. Some of the notable films of the Golden Globe Award winner are The Terminator, Predator, True Lies in which the actor played a double role and many other well-received films.
