3 Times Hulk Proved Why He’s Called The ‘World Breaker’
Many know Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, to be one of the most recognized and celebrated figures of all time. With gamma-irradiated power and a healing factor that’s nearly on par with Wolverine’s, many have pegged Bruce Banner to be unbeatable. Believe it or not, it is because of Banner’s powerful persona as the Hulk that he often disregards his own health.
Despite the Hulk’s place in pop culture as one of Marvel’s most powerful heroes, his origins have been retold countless times throughout his 50-plus year history. And none have proven to be more popular than the original story. Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno provided a depiction of the Hulk that resonated with fans for years, and the makers are thrilled to continue that same tone in the films. That being said, these were the 3 times Hulk proved why he’s called the ‘World Breaker’ –
He Held An Entire Planet
Hulk’s normal strength level is around 100 tons. However, the Hulk has been shown to lift far more than this value; most notably when he supported a 400-ton block of concrete while four men stood on it. He was able to pull a 173 ton (380,000 lb) meteorite toward Earth by moving one finger. With all that said and done, we think for Sakarr to be as large as Earth itself and Hulk to support that weight underwater thereby. He prevented the molten hot lava from separating the planet’s crust from its core is still quite an astounding feat.
Hulk Once Tore The Reality Fabric
In the Incredible Hulk #126, Bruce Banner was as reluctant as ever to transform into his alter-ego. But this time, it’s for a much more sinister reason and it’s far from Spider-Man and Black Cat. Instead, fans got to see an eventful encounter between The Hulk and Nightcrawler in one of many universes for reasons unbeknownst to them.
Despite Banner’s wishes not to break free from the resistance he meets during his unfortunate altercation with the cult leader; a young woman is sent flying straight into an invisible wall that protects her from Hulk’s aggressive aggression. As soon as Bruce sees that she had no prior knowledge of such techniques being used against him, he immediately turns back into his monstrous form and tears the reality fabric.
The Hulk Once Defeated Gladiator
Gladiator, an enormous humanoid warrior of the Shi’ar Empire, is one of the chosen warriors of their supreme leader known as The Phoenix. In The Incredible Hulk’s 97 Annual, when Gladiator came to Earth, he encountered the Hulk who was determined to stop him. Despite his best efforts, including blasting a hole through the Hulk’s chest, no casualties were reported from Banner’s end.
