5 Fan Favorite DCEU Anti-Heroes Ranked!
The DC Extended Universe has some outstanding heroes like Shazam and Aquaman who got their big breaks alongside the legendary Superman and Batman. There are villains as well who have stolen the show.
But there are some great characters who ended up being “in-between.”
There have been many anti-heroes introduced in both movies of Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey.
Here are the best ones in DCEU.
1. Harley Quinn
Margot Robbie has legendary and iconic when it comes to Harley Quinn and for all good reasons. She was initially doubted to play the role by the fans but she’s doe so well.Even though she is mentally ill, she is one of the most brutal fighters who is ready to kill evil people. Her charming yet quirky personality is loved by all of us.
2. Deadshot
Will Smith absolutely aced his acting skills while playing a much darker character.
Deadshot is portrayed just as he is in the comics aka a cold-hearted assassin who does have some humanity in him.
Suicide Squad 2016 showed that he doesn’t mind killing for money unless it is women or children. He is okay with fighting Batman face to face and at the same time, he is ready to sacrifice himself to save the world from the Enchantress.
3. Bloodsport
Idris Elba’s Bloodsport was an instant hit since it took Superman’s villain and made him one of the interesting characters DCEU offers. He was raised to be an assassin since his birth which made him a mean man who managed to put Superman into the hospital using Kryptonite bullet.
Bloodsport doesn’t show much humanity at first but slowly changes over to become an honorable leader of the Suicide Squad. He also wears one of the best costumes of the movie.His armor plates can transform and merge into all sorts of weapons. SO COOL.
4. Huntress
Huntress balances a fine line between hero and a villain. Helena Bertinelli aka Huntress has zero issues when it comes to killing criminals even if it has to be in the most brutal ways.
She joins the Birds Of Prey to stop Black Mask and the terror he has spread; but she isn’t exactly a protector of peace and justice.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead had the least amount of screen time in the movie but she delivered an outstanding performance and was rightly praised for the same.
She has delivered some amazing action scenes and has her own hilarious moments.
5. King Shark
Nanaue or as popularly known as King Shark is the descendant of Shark God. He is not a villain at all but he has a liking for human flesh which gets him into trouble. King Shark is more of a child in a large shark man’s body.
He goes through a small yet impactful story arc. He just wants to be friends and he learns how to make friends thanks to the members of the Suicide Squad. This ended up making him not only hilarious but even much sympathetic; not while killing though.
