Gachiakuta Season 2 was officially announced on December 21, 2025 (as per the official post on X/Twitter). Bones Film is back to handle animation, and the announcement also confirmed a stage play that already took place, so the franchise is clearly expanding past just the anime.
The anime covered the Heritage Mural Arc, but it still has more than half of the manga left to adapt, and the manga itself is still publishing. Which Manga Arc Will Gachiakuta Season 2 Adapt?

Season 1 wrapped up at chapter 87, with its final episode sneaking in a few extra story scenes through chapter 90, including the reveal that Tamsy kidnapped Amo. What this means is that Season 2 is going to start at the Information Broker Arc, which runs from chapter 91 to chapter 116.
This arc pulls Rudo and the Cleaners into new territory, both literally and story-wise. So, we can expect new locations like Canvas Town and Tori, plus a new player named Kuro, who was already talked about in Episode 16. He is an information broker who complicates things a lot for the group. After that, we can expect this season to adapt the First Job Arc (chapters 117–130) as well, which, as the name suggests, gives Rudo his first solo mission and pushes his character growth further.
There’s also a chance the season closes out with setup for the Doll Festival Arc, though that’s more speculative since it depends on how many episodes Bones plans to make and nothing about the episode count is confirmed yet.
Is There a Gachiakuta Season 2 Trailer?
Gachiakuta anime’s official YouTube channel released the First Look PV on July 29, 2026. The PV is flashy and energetic. The entire PV was just a little longer than thirty seconds and did not do anything to reveal what the story is going to be.
At most, the PV assures the fans that the anime is going to maintain its previous quality, with spectacular animations, clean yet gritty graffiti-like art, and music that would make you want to dance. It is confirmed that the anime will indeed have the Information Broker Arc, as we got to see the iconic chase scene in this PV, even though there was no doubt since Gachiakuta has been following a clear linear storytelling.
When Will Gachiakuta Season 2 Release?
This is the unfortunate part, as no official release date for the anime has been announced yet. Bones Film hasn’t locked one in yet, and Crunchyroll’s Anime Expo panel was framed as a preview, not a launch announcement.
Based on how long Bones usually takes to animate a season (roughly 12 to 18 months for a show with this level of detail), most estimates point to a window somewhere between late 2026 and 2027. 2026 is really optimistic, but since we already have a PV, we can expect that the anime might be released in the first two seasonal windows of next year.
Where to Watch Gachiakuta Season 2
Crunchyroll remains the confirmed streaming home for Gachiakuta, just like it was for Season 1, which is one of the best anime you can binge on Crunchyroll right now. This anime picked up wins at the 2026 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, including Best New Series. Given that track record, there’s no reason to expect Season 2 to stream anywhere else.
So while there’s still no exact date, the pieces are lining up: the story’s next arc is clear, production is moving, and the streaming plan hasn’t changed.
