“A hard pill to swallow”: Kelly Ripa Unveiled Her Husband’s ‘Character Flaw’ That Affected Their Marriage
Since they met back in 1995, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have remained strong to the day. The couple recently celebrated their 27th anniversary. Ripa has on many occasions opened up about the type of husband and wife they were. And how the two kept things fiery between them even after more than two decades of marriage and with three adult children at that.
However, from a recent clip of an upcoming episode of the talk show host’s podcast Lets Talk Off-Camera With Kelly Ripa, it seems Consuelos has had some flaws at the beginning.
The couple discussed how this one particular character flaw from Consuelos’ side had the potential to ruin their relationship.
Kelly Ripa Discusses Mark Consuelos’ Past Character Flaw
There is no denying that Live! host Kelly Ripa‘s relationship with her husband Mark Consuelos has spanned a very long time since they first met. Their relationship seems to have stood the test of time as the couple celebrated their 27th anniversary recently.
However, despite their strong bond and romance with each other, it seems that there used to be a certain aspect of Consuelos that could have ruined their perfect romance.

In a short clip from the upcoming episode of Ripa’s podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa, the host discusses “jealousy” that her husband used to be filled with at the beginning of their relationship. The talk show host opened up by saying,
“That was a hard pill to swallow,”
She also added,
“It’s very hard being married to somebody jealous.”
Ripa shared a past incident where Consuelos’ insanely jealous character can be seen perfectly. According to her, during the early years of their relationship, her husband had been upset even by a slightly cheery behavior of a waiter toward Ripa.
Worse still, they ended up arguing later according to Ripa. Therefore the two might be one of the long-lasting celebrity couples, they two nevertheless are not perfect just like everyone.

What Did Mark Consuelos Have to Say About His Past Toxic Behaviour
While Kelly Ripa called out her husband’s past toxic character trait, Mark Consuelos revealed he was a “jealous” person anymore. He admitted his character flaw and called it ugly. According to him, his toxic jealousy “followed him for a while”.
But he eventually realized that it hurt the people who were at the receiving end as well as himself. And he seems to have worked on this flaw as his wife Ripa praised him for overcoming it.
