Johnny Depp is Related to Late Queen Elizabeth II
American star Johnny Depp, who recently garnered attention after briefly appearing in the MTV Video Music Awards has been reported to be linked with the royal family. According to a 2011 episode of Who Do You Think You Are, the 59-year-old actor was reported to have royal blood running through his veins that links him to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
According to Dr. Nick Barratt, a genealogist who is associated with the series stated, “When I examined Johnny’s history I discovered a likely connection to the royal family.”
Adding to his theory, he shared, “I’ve since established the family tree that demonstrates how. You have to go back more than 500 years to reach the point where his ancestors become royal. I believe the balance of probability is that there is indeed a link between Depp and the royals.”
As per the report, it was revealed that the actor is possibly a distant relative of the late monarch of the UK, who both are twentieth cousins, with a common ancestor King Edward III, Edward of Windsor, who ruled over England and Ireland between 1327 to 1377.
