How Does The Strange Planet Series Follow The Footsteps Of Ted Lasso?
According to the popularity of Nathan W. Pyle’s Strange Planet scaling a mammoth following on social media and then debuting as a 10-episode adult animated series on Apple TV+, it is quite evident that the series is treading on the path of Jason Sudeikis starrer Ted Lasso. Strange Planet became very popular on Instagram and Facebook. The sports-comedy-drama had the same journey as it came into existence after an NBC spoof video went viral on the internet.
One of the most famous shows on Apple TV+ Ted Lasso is based on the titular character played by actor Jason Sudeikis, an American football coach, who is hired for the English football team AFC Richmond. The sports comedy-drama went on to become Apple TV+’s one of the biggest hit. The show went on to become one of the favorites of US President Joe Biden too. With 20 Emmy nominations, Ted Lasso needs no description in the world of good and quality entertainment.
However, looking at the popularity of Strange Planet, it has been assumed that the animated series is on the path of Ted Lasso as the idea behind the sports drama became viral on the internet before it was conceptualized into a four-season show.
Strange Planet debuts would be streamed on Apple TV+ on August 9, 2023.
