The American Actress, Amanda Bynes is a popular name in the industry for her work in the 90s and the 2000s. Bynes has been in the headlines a lot lately. Apparently, this is not because of a release or any award but it is due to a very bizarre reason. Recently, The She’s The Man actress has been in and out of mental health facilities. Reportedly, she has been dealing with mental issues since 2013. The actress was under the conservatorship of her mother for over 9 years.

Interestingly enough, Amanda was supposed to attend the 90s Con in Connecticut in March, an event she canceled due to illness.

Bynes was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder back in 2013. After a series of bizarre incidents including one where she set her neighbor’s driveway on fire, almost engulfing her dog in flames. After which, she was sent to a psychiatric ward for treatment. Recently she was found roaming n*ked on the streets of Los Angeles. The Amanda Show alum was placed on psychiatric hold after this incident. Even an eyewitness revealed that Bynes was seen walking near downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning without any clothes.

A source shares that she’s currently hospitalized, and will likely continue to receive care for several days. Typically, a psychiatric hold only lasts 72 hours, but it can be extended.

How Does The Hairspray Actress Feel About Her Situation?

Sources close to Bynes told shared that she doesn’t feel “ready to leave” and her release date is still “undetermined.” “Those around her are already formulating a plan to make sure she stays on the right path,” the report read. Insiders also claimed that medical staff has been taking Bynes’ stay “week by week”. She would enroll in an outpatient mental health treatment program when she eventually leaves. It is also reported that Bynes may have been “living on the streets” for weeks before she herself called 911.

Her Ex-Fiancé, Paul Michael shared that she had been “off her meds” prior to the psychiatric episode. Bynes has been wound up with many controversies including mental health issues, and substance abuse among other things.
