The renowned Academy Award-nominated actor Alec Baldwin made headlines in 2021. During the shooting of the movie Rust, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was accidentally shot dead by Alec Baldwin due to misfiring. Director Joel Souza was also injured in the unfortunate incident that took place in October 2021. The family of the cinematographer had filed a lawsuit against the entire production house and actor Alec Baldwin.
According to the lawsuit, the production house had jeopardized the safety of the crew members by doing cost cutting. The incident divided the world into two. Actors and co-stars of Alec Baldwin slammed him for the careless act, whereas a few people even stood by the actor’s worst time of his life.
Alec Baldwin Pens Down An Emotional Message For Hilaria Baldwin
Amidst the Rust shooting case, controversy, The Gateway actor wrote a lovely message for his wife Hilaria Baldwin. The couple celebrated eleven years of their engagement. The couple got engaged in April 2012 and were married in June of the same year. Alec Baldwin took to his Instagram account and posted a lovely picture of his wife Hilaria Baldwin surrounded by their 3 out of 7 children. The caption under the picture read as-
“Eleven years ago today, I got engaged to a wonderful human being. She’s under this pile somewhere,” Alec wrote, referring to Hilaria laying on the floor with several of their children on top of her.
“11 years, 7 kids, an ocean of memories later, I love you, Hilaria,”
The It’s Complicated actor has been through a lot since the Rust shooting incident took place. However, his wife Hilaria has stood by him like a rock. She posted a story about Alec Baldwin standing in an elevator and captioned it as “got engaged 11 years ago, today.”

Alec Baldwin’s Lawyers Are Winning The Rust Shooting Case
An unfortunate incident like the Rust shooting incident cannot be easily forgotten. During the rehearsals of the movie Rust, Alec Baldwin was holding a Colt gun. It accidentally discharged, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and hurting director Joel Souza. Alec Baldwin was charged with involuntary manslaughter. However, he was sentenced to one and a half years in jail and charged $5,000 as a fine.
Lawyer Luke Nikas of Quinn Emanuel, who is representing Alec Baldwin in the Rust shooting case, went on to say that-
“Mr. Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun — or anywhere on the movie set. He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds. We will fight these charges, and we will win.”
According to the recent update on the case, Andrea Reeb has stepped down as a special prosecutor in the Rust shooting case. She stated the reason for stepping down as-
“However, it has become clear that the best way I can ensure justice is served in this case is to step down so that the prosecution can focus on the evidence and the facts, which clearly show a complete disregard for basic safety protocols led to the death of Halyna Hutchins. I will not allow questions about my serving as a legislator and prosecutor to cloud the real issue at hand.”
Alec Baldwin’s lawyers had filed a motion to disqualify the special prosecutor Andrea Reeb. As she is a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives and even is a special prosecutor too. However, she resigned as her participation was considered unconstitutional.
