Angelina Jolie Gets One Step Closer to Beating Brad Pitt in the Court as Judge Denies Pitt’s Request
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been embroiled in a series of contentious court battles since their divorce in August of 2016. While Jolie filed for divorce from her ex-husband in 2016, alleging irreconcilable differences, the couple has since been involved in a legal dispute over their six children as well as the French winery they purchased together as a couple, which also served as the location for their wedding. This is one of the most publicized divorces, with the media seemingly leaking every detail of their split. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s love story is well-known in Hollywood; they were the most famous couple of all time.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce
It all began when Jolie and Pitt were filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Pitt was already married to Jennifer Aniston. Their romance surprised their followers, who began referring to the couple as “Brangelina” on the internet. However, the famous couple’s decision to divorce after 12 years of marriage cannot be undone. Millions of fans have flocked to them over the years because of their on- and off-screen chemistry, but everything came crashing down in 2016 when the pair announced that they were divorcing for the sake of their kids.
According to reports, Angelina Jolie sold her shares in Miraval Chateau, which she owned at 50%, last year. Tenute del Mondo, a division of the Stoli Group, purchased the shares that the actress sold. As per Brad Pitt, the sale of her stake proceeded without his consent, as was previously agreed upon before their divorce.
Pitt sued Jolie earlier this year on the grounds that she had sold her Miraval shares and was trying to hurt him by trading with an unauthorized party.
Brad Pitt will depose a Russian oligarch in his $164 million dispute against Angelina Jolie.
According to recent reports, the judge rejected the Bullet Train actor’s request to oust the Russian oligarch who purchased his ex-wife Angelina Jolie’s share of their $164 million French winery. According to a court document obtained by Radar Online, “There is no affirmative factual proof of irreparable harm. The case is not in contention. There is no scheduled trial date. Waiting until their planned court dates won’t harm the plaintiffs in any way,” it added.
Bard Pitt’s recent move coincides with his ongoing efforts to obtain records pertaining to the sale of Chateau Miraval from his former wife’s company and other individuals involved. Through her previous firm, Angelina Jolie filed a $250 million cross-complaint, saying that Pitt planned to take over the business as retaliation for their divorce and their custody dispute.
