“Anna has had enough”: Kanye West Become Latest Target of Vogue After His Relentless Drama, Cut Ties With Controversial Rapper
Known for making controversial statements, Kanye West is in for more trouble as another backlash from Vogue hit him. Anna Wintour, Vogue’s editor-in-chief and Met Gala’s chairwoman, apparently wants nothing to do with the rapper after the constant controversy he has been prone to lately.
Kanye West and Anna Wintour have had a friendly relationship for a long time, ever since she invited him to her 2009 Met Gala before featuring him and Kim Kardashian on the cover in 2014 after their wedding. However, it has been reported that Vogue’s editor-in-chief has clarified that Kanye West is no longer part of the inner circle.
Anna Wintour Has Had Enough With Kanye West
According to a Vogue spokesperson, Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and the magazine itself will not work again with Kanye West after his anti-Semitic rants and support of the “White Lives Matter” cause.
After Kardashian and West’s wedding in 2014, Wintour invited them to appear on the cover of Vogue. Then, a few weeks ago, she modeled the new Yeezy sunglasses line in press images sent out to promote the shades despite publicly bullying Kim Kardashian online about their children.
According to Page Six, On Oct. 4, Wintour sent Baz Luhrmann to film West’s reconciliation with Gabriella Karefa-Johnson after he mocked her fashion sense after she criticized him for wearing a “White Lives Matter” T-shirt at his Paris fashion show.
According to Vogue insider, “Anna has had enough,” and added, “She has made it very clear inside Vogue that Kanye is no longer part of the inner circle.”
Fashion royal Anna Wintour is reportedly finally ready to let go after West made a series of stunning threats against Jewish people, then aggressively doubled down when he was given a chance to apologize; Wintour officially had enough.
Can Kanye West Have Any After Effects?
It is unknown what the after-effects for West will be. Currently, they will not send any correspondence or fashion journalists to his next fashion show, he will not be invited to the Met Gala, and he won’t be featured on the cover of Vogue for a while.
It’s unclear what that will mean in practice, whether Vogue’s website will not feature images from his fashion shows. In addition, the giant fashion house Balenciaga announced that it would stop working with West.
In response to these backlashes, West has hired Johnny Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez from the Amber Heard trial, as his legal advisor to handle his ‘Business Interests.‘
