“Another movie that will make 6 dollars”: Snyder Fans Waste No Time Trolling James Gunn as Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 3 Revealed to be a Part of DCU
Gal Gadot, who will be featured in her next Netflix film Heart of Stone starring Jamie Dornan, is recognized as her character from Zack Snyder’s DCEU Wonder Woman, who began in Zack Snyder’s DC Universe and led to two standalone films, with reports that a third part is on the way.
James Gunn and Peter Safran took over DC Studios and eliminated a couple of projects that were in the works at the time, including scrapping Henry Cavill’s Superman film. It was previously stated that Wonder Woman 3 will not be made. However, there is now an intriguing update on the film.
Gal Gadot reveals Wonder Woman 3 in development for James Gunn’s DCU
During an interview with ComicBook, Gal Gadot, who appeared to promote her upcoming action flick, was asked about the third part of her most loved character, Wonder Woman. She then revealed, “I love portraying Wonder Woman. It’s so close to and dear to my heart. From what I heard from James and Peter is that we’re gonna develop a ‘Wonder Woman 3’ together.”
The actress also shared her views on the new Superman; David Corneswet, who will be playing the character in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU, replacing Henry Cavill for Superman: Legacy. She said,
“I saw that they were testing, doing different screen tests, but I don’t know who got it, but it seemed like everyone was super legit and talented and, like, great. So I’m happy for them. It’s such a huge take-on and it’s such an exciting beginning for any actor, and I wish whoever is going to be the best of luck and enjoy the ride.”
What exactly the third part could be about is very hard to say as of now, but Gunn had hinted before that he is very interested in developing a Wonder Woman animated series.

I’m excited. Yes, the second film sucked. But with more attention to detail and a different bts team. It could be great.

Someone pointed out that the interview was conducted before the strike and Gadot might have thought The Flash would be a success. While another user pointed out, “We need a completely fresh Wonder Woman and justice league. Unless this is Elseworlds, then it’s fine I guess, but it is still a waste of time”. Someone also said, “What’s so unfortunate about it. Is it because Gunn is in charge and not Zack. Y’all Zack fans boys be complaining now. But by 2030 you’ll be praising for what Gunn has done for Dc”

A section of people was really happy to know that the actress would return to reprise her role, but some fans also asked a hard-hitting question about why the studios need a feel to recast Batman and Superman but keep Wonder Woman. A user tweeted that “Why are they not doing a full reboot? This choosing what actors they are going to keep is not it..” The majority of the fans expressed that instead, they would have liked it if the studios would have made a movie letting Ben Affleck or Henry Cavill reprise their roles.
Why was Wonder Woman 3 put on hold?
According to reports, one of the major casualties of Warner Bros.’ shifting from the DC movieverse was when the director of Wonder Woman, Patty Jenkins, decided to leave while there were discussions about the third part. She said, “there was “nothing [she] could do to move anything forward at that time”
Jenkins further wrote, “I was open to considering anything asked of me. It was my understanding there was nothing I could do to move anything forward at that time. DC is obviously buried in changes they are having to make, so I understand these decisions are difficult right now.”
She said at the time that she doesn’t want to start working on Wonder Woman with a negative note. She later thanked her fans and supporters adding that she understands that Wonder Woman fans are not visible in the media that much noting that they have always seen and cherished their fans across the world. After her tweet, James Gunn replied to her stating all of their interactions were positive and professional.
Gal Gadot’s Heart of Stone is available on August 11th, 2023.
