‘Barbie’ Breaks Yet Another Record Half Year After Release as Greta Gerwig Sets a Landmark For Female Directors
Greta Gerwig’s Barbie isn’t a child’s play anymore, it seems, or so the numbers say. The American actress Greta Celeste Gerwig is a writer and director who is well-known for working on mumblecore movies. However, it’s in the past, as lately, she has focused more on co-writing independent films and directing major studio films. She has 17 wins out of 68 award nominations to her name.
No Strings Attached, Disney’s Snow White, Lady Bird, etc. are some of the best contributions of Gerwig to the film industry. However, her magnum opus is undoubtedly the 2023 movie Barbie. The movie was released on 21st July 2023, to take a one-on-one battle against Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.
Gerwig’s Barbie just can’t stop grossing. After all, numbers never lie, do they?
